Color Me Pagan (words and music by Fritz Jung)
Color me Pagan, in a new moon light Color me Pagan, on a Starwood night We've all got the power, We're born with the gift Hour by hour, let your psyche drift
What I... don't remember My eyes can see Scryin'... in the embers Persephone holds me
Color me Pagan, gettin' back to the woods Color me Pagan, cause' it feels so good Cleaning the planet, cause' it yours and mine Marking the seasons, working overtime
What I... don't remember My eyes can see Scryin'... in the embers Persephone holds me
Color me Pagan, It's a Witchy night Color me Pagan, cause' it feels so right We're callin to Isis, and the Gods above Just working the magic, the power of love
What I... don't remember My eyes can see Scryin'... in the embers Persephone holds me

Allow me start off by apologizing for falling out of sync with this series. To catch up I will be releasing two tunes this month.
I bring this project back in line with a tune called Color Me Pagan... Many folks have cursed me for writing this one. Cursed? Moi?... Apparently the problem has been an infectious melody line. This tune was one of the quickest to write but one that went through several different versions when I was recording it.
Based on a simple 'stray cats(ish)' vamp of Am/F/E7 (capo IV), Color Me Pagan is just one of those patterns that you can play/sing/solo over for ever.
That Piano Solo: was by yours truly and was quite a joy to 'construct'. My actual piano playing "technique" is all but non-existent, but with this software (deck v.1.0) I could play little bits and stitch them together.
Recorded: around March 1995 at MiceTrax Digital Magick Recording studio in Boston, Mass. This tune was primarily acoustic guitar, live drums, bass and piano. This tune offers many stereo tricks, including hard panning of key parts and glides from one side to the other.
Color Me Pagan was written to be a simple celebration of the Pagan ways and one that I am glad that I recorded... Take this treat with my blessings and thanks go out to the Pagan community for being the inspiration.
