CandleWick (words and music by Fritz Jung)
Witches!
Yo' Witch where ya coming from You're really quite simple not for all but for some A true giver til' the end of the day My sisters say/Brother sez that your OK!
Doctrines are cheap work is the key Striving for balance and polarity Pennin' the rhymes working' the signs Never again the burning times !
A Candlewick holds our intentions It's focused on a direction Heal the sick! With your power There's times when we want you Times when we need you We need you!
We all raised the cone of power you see We cast the circle invoked harmony It must be correct and for the good of all Strait from the heart or we will fall
We call to our friends in the quarters To help us send it forward To the skies send it upward Into the light off in the night To do our biding Yea !
We draw from the left kick to the right Working projections in the full moon light When our work is done It must be released (Strait up !) For the good of all for total peace
A Candlewick holds our intentions It's focused on a direction Heal the sick! With your power Off in the night strait into the light Off in the night strait into the light Send it off in the night strait into the light

For May 2001 I am honored to offer a tune called CandleWick... As I listen back on this creation, my initial thoughts are "Kinda cool yet kinda disposable."... I am happy with the strait forward lyrics and it's a good song over all. Apparently my attempt to make it a bit Erie did work...
CandleWick is as about as strait forward as a Witch Pop tune can get both lyrically and musicially. The harmonys worked out nicely and the vocals were a hoot to record. This was originally a tune called "Mr. six" and was rewritten lyrically to add to the Pagan theme of the CD.
The Recording: was pretty strait forward utilizing a '64 Martin D18, Ibanez RB800 bass and a drum pattern. Sadly when this tune was converted to mp3 some ugly phazing surfaced.
When I was doing these sessions, I beta-tested the demos with friends and much to my surprise, Gypsy Ravish noted that it was her fave of the lot. Since I both respect Gypsy and personally credit her for being the first to take "Witch Music" to the modern era, I was thrilled to hear that she liked this one.
Take this tune as my gift to you and do know that some of the better tunes from these sessions are yet to come.
