Do the American People really want the Religious Freedom Amendment ? "When I said during my presidential bid that I would only bring Christians and Jews into the government, I hit a firestorm. `What do you mean?' the media challenged me. `You're not going to bring atheists into the government? How dare you maintain that those who believe in the Judeo-Christian values are better qualified to govern America than Hindus and Muslims?' My simple answer is, `Yes, they are.'" - Pat Robertson, The New World Order.
"Off the record, who can tell me the date the 10 Commandments were repealed as law? I'll tell you when--never. The 10 Commandments were never repealed. That's the problem with people today--they don't abide by the 10 Commandments." - Judge Bromley Hall, N.Y. And that's just the "problem" that Rep. Istook is seeking to eradicate... |
Pat Robertson | | Always remember... Your Voice Matters ! here at TWV and we welcome any suggestions that you may have. This is YOUR web site, we simply do the maintenance. YOU can do some wonderful things for the Witches of the World. We simply can't do this without you... Blessed Be Well - The Witches' Voice Staff |
| Witches' Voice introduces The Witch/Pagan Resource Message Board... This week the Witches' Voice has aligned with DaemonChild and Dancing Sidhe and are proud to point you to the Witch/Pagan Resource Message Board. This message board features a variety of topics that are all threaded and easy to post on. Also stop in at our Live Feedback Forum for the latest in discussions related to the Craft of the Wise... |
| WebMaster Notes
| Notes From The WebMaster... "I'm a altar boy again, all my energy I'll send, to the goddess... Studying to be a priest, energy to be released... for the good of all, come hear our call... Mother, Maiden, Crone... My power's grown, with my family... the craft of the wise..." What is really going on at the Witches' Voice Web site ? This months webnotes include a wrap up of our gypsy like behaviour during the month of April, the future of the live feedback forum, a special thanks and notes on the future of chatting on the World Wide Web. Postscript 5/15/97: The Live Feedback forum statement has been updated to better detail our current thoughts. | | Bev's plea for Unity...
Join Wren, Peg and Fritz in celebrating the warmth and wisdom of one of our favorite Witches, Bev Richardson from Castle Pook, Ireland... and congratulating both Bev and his brilliant and magical wife Del for their 29 years of marriage. - We love you both !
"Back in my own history, I was involved in the acrimonious collapse of Gerald Gardner's works. And all the in-fighting and destructive energy that was flying around at that time in the Isle of Mann. I was only 20 years old at the time, and even then sincere in my belief in the goddess. And though all this unpleasantness, and witch-bitching in no way affected my belief in and love for the nascent goddess, it left me with a lifetime problem with group politics..." continued... |
| Judge not, lest ye be judged... A court is in the position to rule on points of law. This Alabama judge takes his job very seriously. We should take him seriously, too. Because if Judge Roy Moore (see frightening image just to your right) wins in this courtroom, Christianity may become the official state religion. This is scary stuff we are talking about folks... This has been going on for months and OUR Voice MUST be heard... | |
| Help us... Help Witches... Become a Sponsor of the Witches' Voice - by supporting the Witches' Voice you help to keep this website alive, help Witches of the World maintain their right to practice Witchcraft (last year the WLPA gave over $8,000 bucks to cases like Iron Oak and Kerri Patavino), get deals on HOT WitchVox products (TBA) and a very cool looking sponsorship card. Even a book of stamps or a single dollar really helps. Presently we have 32 paying sponsors and may they be thrice blessed for their support. Send your support to The Witches' Voice, P.O. | Witches' Voice First 13 weeks results now in... No one could ask for a more exciting opening 13 weeks... We are thrilled by the action and the results already achieved... We now offer over 140 pages of information with plans to double that over the next 90 days... This page will show you the most hit pages at the Voice as well as a "sorta cool" graph of action of the first 13 weeks. Over 60 Witches have shown their support this past moon cycle and we will survive... Bless you all |
Out of the Closet on Beltaine Eve?... YES! Although we of the Witches' Voice certainly do not claim or have any reason to believe that Ellen is a Witch, she IS now out of the closet and the parallels related to "coming out of the broom closet" are just to similar to ignore... A substantial portion of the Witchcraft community IS Gay and have to deal with both situations. This episode was both historic and moving (there wasn't a dry eye here at the Witches' Voice). We of the Witches' Voice salute you Ellen for your honesty and courage.
or In The Closet - Does the "IN" stand for "IN-Visible"?
|
| Closets... Just about everyone has one or two. As kids, we knew that they were a great place to hide. We were invisible. No one could see us in the dark perching on a pile of Dad's old shoes. We would wait...hearts pounding. We would wait... for someone to fling open the door. The anticipation was almost more than we could stand.
There comes a time when most of us stop playing this game... And for Ellen DeGeneres, that time has come... Click HERE for Wren's commentary on this historic episode. (We love you Ellen) |
