Modern Day Witchcraft...
A Personal Belief System?
Is Unity Really Possible?
Pagan Unity?: Can we even use the two words in the same sentence? We have seen a definite movement in this direction and we have also seen many of the obstacles that stand in the way of such an effort.
Can we find some common ground that will define ourselves as a religion- or are we destined to remain as isolated groups holding on to just our own personal belief systems? Can the two - the individual belief system and the common good of all defined as a religion - be reconciled? The answer we give may in fact determined the future of us all...

The Witches' Voice IS going there...
This marks the beginning of a brand new section here at the Voice related to this issue and the possiblities there in. Listen to the many voices, submit YOUR thoughts and tell us what the Craft of the Wise means to you.
Is Pagan Unity a possibility?
The dawning of the age of mass communication through the Internet has allowed us to connect with Witches, Wiccans and Pagans from all corners of the globe. Solitary practitioners are no longer isolated within the confines of their geographic area nor restricted by the limitations of their local environment. Covens and groups can now share traditional beliefs with others of like mind. Witch web pages are springing up literally overnight. What does all this mean to the Pagan community?
The immediate access to information on issues related to Witches, Wiccans and Pagans allows everyone to help those of the Craft in need of assistance, answer questions from those new to our Ways and interact on many other levels. This has been a very exciting and rewarding experience. Pagan groups involved in anti-defamation and activist work have been able to mobilize others on important issues and make some real changes of lasting impact. We have found that we are not alone anymore. But where do we go from here?
We are constantly encountering individuals and groups who speak in similar general terms, yet use a different language in many ways. We are in contact with all our inherent differences - along with our implied similarities.
This may be the time and place, this age of intercommunication, that makes it all possible.
Solitaire or Coven?
Witches Speak Out!
Introducing the WVOX Essay Series...
Each month The Witches' Voice will publish essays from Witches, Wiccans and Pagans from around the world. We would love to hear from you! Check out our Editorial Submission Guidelines page for a submission guidelines and topic list and other details.
The month of July opens with some thoughts from three Pagans on the topic of "Solitary or Coven?" Some Witches are solitary by choice, some by chance. Some have experienced both settings, some would like to. There are pros and cons to each approach. Maybe hearing what some other Witches have experienced will help you find your own best Path.
