Witchvox Weekly Update for 8/8/1997 Author: Witchvox Central Posted: August 8th. 1997 Times Viewed: 3,356 8/8/97 IMPORTANT: The Witches' Voice Central Headquarters (aka Fritz & Wren's Home) will be shut down for the next 4-5 Days due to a FIRE here last night. The Goddess made sure that everyone was ok including the kitties and Peg (who was spending the night). Had it not been for a working smoke detector (Wren replaced the dead battery just 3 days before) and/or the fact that Peg was on one of the computers at the time, we may not be here today. Horrible smoke & water damage everywhere and our kitchen was axed beyond recognition (the motor beneath the 30 year old Frig simply burst into flames). The Witches' Voice Web Site appliances (these two wonderful Macintoshes) seem to be working OK so far... The fire department responded within 3 minutes and stated that had we called 5-10 minutes later the house would be gone. Although we are just renters, we ARE properly insured and so is our wonderful landlord. I just posted the most recent Contact a Witch submissions, everything on the site IS operable but sadly our weekly update will be delayed until the middle of the week. Expect Delays in Email responses over the next week or so. Some Quick notes...
