But, Will There Be Treats?

Yes! There are Always Treats!

It is that time again, dear friends. The Wheel of the Year draws near the points of change and introspection, beginnings and endings, Samhain and Beltaine. Wren and I simply love this time of year and (no doubt) most of you do as well. Although we will dearly miss the New England fall we will look for ways to make our first Florida Samhain magical. In an effort to get away from these "pesky appliances" Wren and I are planning on attending the Autumnmeet Festival in early November. We hear wonderful things about this fest and are psyched to have the opportunity to meet it's organizers Wade and Dianne as well as our dear friends the Waterhawks. If you are planning on attending Autumnmeet we'd love to meet you.

For all you Mathematicians out there: This week TWV will crack the 3 million pages viewed mark. YOU are the reason that this is happening. Thank YOU from our hearts! We have been waiting for our "hits" to level off but after 20 months online they just keep growing and growing (For recent who, what and where info check out our This Month or Last Month statistical pages). Due to the growing interest in Earth-based / "alternative" spirituality, it stands to reason that this is true for most sites on the Pagan Web. Utilizing our "daily Stats" has helped us to better understand; where you go and what you like. We have done this from our first day online and will continue to do so. This ongoing analysis has driven our "white board" by pointing out what you want to see. Since perception is quite often NOT reality, this has proven to be very "eye opening" information.

The Craft in the Media:: Tis the Season!!!

Were We "Charmed"?: Well, sort of. Wren and I took the time to give this new show a watch. Our hopes were high and we really wanted this show to, "take the next step" In some ways it did, words like "Wicca", "Athame" and "Sabbats" were tossed into prime time TV and this is very refreshing to see. A review of the first episod of any TV show is a bit unfair so we will hold off on a proper review until a few more episods are aired. Charmed has yet to define itself and the characters themselves are just starting to evolve. The performers, writers and directors really do need a chance to get their footing and to fall into the groove. Wren has composed her thoughts on the opening episod and they can be found at (where else) Wren's Nest

And What about "Practical Magick"?: Expect out thoughts on this soon to be release movie the day after the premier. It opens at most theatres on October 16th.

The Growing Power of the Pagan 'Net: The Witches' Voice is but one of close to 2,000 sites that celebrate the Witchcraft, Wicca and Paganism. This on and off-line community is growing dramatically every day in every way. TWV works hard to do our part by delivering the latest Craft related news/issues on a daily basis and by offering a powerful networking section that celebrates the Web sites, groups, events and people of the Modern Pagan community. As always, TWV will continue to send you off of our site to the many wonderful web sites of the Pagan 'Net.

Our Magical New Samhain Section: Sometimes sections here at the Voice simply create themselves... Our new Samhain section has done just that. This week we are proud to present extensive coverage of our fave holiday - Samhain (a.k.a. Halloween). In this new chapter, we offer information on the History of this holiday, Essays, local circles and events, Poems and Song Lyrics. Look for new additions to this chapter thoughout this month. Surf on over and check out the new WitchVox Samhain Pages today!

Our Annual Opportunity to Educate : Although this IS changing, the Samhain season is still our best opportunity to educate the general public as to who we are and what we do. Last year we created some timeless documents related to this issue - Do check out The WitchVox White Pages for our...

New this week at Wren's Nest

Wren Wrant - The Internet Reaches Beyond Washington... When the majority of American citizens seemed insufficiently outraged with Billy's White House behavior right from the start, it had to be, they reasoned, because we didn't have the insider information that these charmed folks were privy to. It was not just about sex. Wait until the Starr report comes out, they said. Then you would see why this is all so terrible. And we'll even put it on the Internet for you... - Click HERE for the complete Wrant!
