 Beltaine is Coming and...
Witches, Wiccans and Pagans are "breathing" all over each other! <grin>. The response to our call for the young Pagan perspective on searching for a soul mate was wonderful.
It took this Webweaver 42 years to find his soul-mate. Wren and I met in a Witch Shop (just before we started WitchVox) and quickly fell in love. We know that we are indeed soul mates and constantly thank the great ones for the gift of each other. It is our belief that there is someone for everyone. Finding this special someone is where the magic lies. It is great pleasure that we present to you...
Something's Burning... and it must be LOVE! Barbie and Ken? Buffy and Angel? What would be your ideal romantic relationship? What traits are important? What do you look for in a boyfriend/girlfriend? Would he/she have to be pagan? What has worked out-and been doomed-in your previous romances? Have you-would you?-rely on magick to attract a soulmate? Anything that your would-be soulmate should know about what would make you sit up and take notice in case he/she may read this? (Ya never know!)
Searching for a Soul-Mate sure did stir the cauldron! We are proud to present to you 7 essays from Pagan Teens of the World. Pages... ONE TWO THREE FOUR FIVE SIX SEVEN

Where You can Find Truly Inspiring Creations for YOUR Magic!
As I stated above, Wren and I meet in a Witch Shop (CrowHaven Corner - in Salem) while doing work for Laurie Cabot. From time to time Wren and I summarize the pages viewed (over the past two years) in different sections of the Voice to get an overall feel as to where you are going and what you like. Last night we did this for our Pagan links section and were quite surprised to discover that Pagan Online Shops was the #2 hit page (#1 was the various USA crafted sites from A-Z) with 29,027 hits since we launched this site.
WitchVox has celebrated the Pagan shops both on and off line since our site launch in '97. Sadly our listings have grown TOO large (176 online shops and 549 local shops) to be easily digestible. For months we have been promising the vendors and crafts-people that we want to find a way to better promote their work (lack of time is always our biggest frustration). We DO know that is hard to make a living selling this type of merchandise. The Staff at WitchVox encourages you to support our community shops both on and off line.
WitchVox IS a Commercial Free Zone! We are adamant about maintaining our NO advertising stance. WHY? Several reasons really but the most fundamental one is that we have no desire to be in anybody's "back pocket". We are not obligated to ANY advertisers. This gives WitchVox the freedom to present products, shops, Festivals and workshops to YOU based solely on their community value or interest. In the past year we have been "courted" by several major retailers and distributors that have offered us substantial cash to advertise their products. Our simple two word response is a polite - NO THANKS.
That said, we can and will promote Pagan products with YOUR needs and desires in mind. If we think it's cool, we just might "turn you on to it".
So what ARE we planning? Many things actually. Just this weekend we broke out the physical shops from the events and shops pages and now list the Pagan Shops in YOUR town on 120 separate State/Province/Country pages. We also plan on breaking up our listings of Pagan Products online so that you can better search for that magical tool. Several volunteers have offered to pen articles on Ethical Pagan retailing (what to look for) and tips for safe online purchasing. Please know that you don't have to run a festival to do a review of one (in fact we'd rather YOU do the review) This Week we also broke out festival reviews into THEIR own chapter called Pagans festivals of Planet Earth. We are considering many other suggestions that we've received by concerned Vendors and customers over the past year. As always, we welcome YOUR thoughts on this.
THIS WEEK we can Happily Proclaim: "Morning Glory's surgery was a complete success, and she will probably be released from the hospital today, and going home! Thank you everyone who lit candles, prayed, and sent energy to her. May your love return to you times three"! - Oberon Ravenheart. For an official and detailed statement from Oberon Click here
 Important New Community Service Org:
Just this past week we were made aware of the International Order of the Red Pentacle. They are an arm of the Church of All Worlds, and are an organization of healers of all stripes from doctors and nurses to Reiki masters, veterinarians and earth healers.
Avilynn, who is the founder and coordinator can be emailed at IORP@aol.com. The International Order of the Red Pentacle can be contacted at: 410 E Denny Way #240 Seattle, WA 98122 or by surfing to their Website at http://www.caw.org/redpentacle/index.html - Bless YOU Silverstar for turning us on to this - Fritz & Wren
The Next Pagan Holiday is... BELTAINE! (also known as: Mayday, Walburga, Bealtinne) The Land represented by the Goddess is now ripe and fertile and the Young God expresses His Love for Her. This is a time of joyous reveling as the first flowers of Summer are gathered in Their Honor.
The 8 Holidays of the Witch!: Visit our Pagan Holidays Page for the latest in what we are doing to define, explain and celebrate the holidays of the Witch. Although this chapter will continue to build and offer valuable community info, we'd be amiss to not take this opportunity and send you over to Mike Nichols incredible Witches' Sabbats Website - We love you Mike!
Have a safe and magical week everyone!
Always in your service,
 The Witches' Voice April 18th., 1999 c.e.
