Bright Blessings Witches of The World,
Welcome one and all to the Witches' Voice on The World Wide Web... 1996 was simply an incredible year for the growth of the Witchcraft online community and the Witches League for Public Awareness. Wren and I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the former State Representatives of the WLPA for their outstanding work in educating the public about Witchcraft in 1996. We learned much and experienced many wonderful surprises... apparently there IS a major desire for Unity within the Neo-Pagan community; many have felt this and expressed it to us in email over the last 6 months. Neo-Witchcraft is arguably just 40 years old and with the advent of the Internet, the level of communication amongst the Pagan community has been dramatically changed forever... This change in the way that we communicate has indeed changed the Craft itself. No longer are potential Witchcraft initiates at the mercy of their local "Gurus".
Navigating this Web Site: The Witches' Voice on the Web consists of 3 levels and by simply clicking on any image at the top of page you can go backwards one level. The basic Site structure is as follows...
- 1 Home Page/Master Index (http://www.witchvox.com)
- 10 Sub-indexes or sections
- 94+ Content pages linked from the sub-indexes.
Click on any header to move back one level. Just about all the Graphics on this Web site are an email/hot link.
| Web Notes 2/2/97 | Web Site Link Exchange: We of the Witches' Voice welcome links with any Witch/Pagan related Web site and will have you listed on our Web site links page within 48 hours of submission... We have an easy submission form on our Witch/Pagan Web Sites Page. If you would like to list us on your site, we would love it if you could use one of our graphics to enhance the link.
What happened to the WLPA?: Due to a matter of "different agendas" with the founder of the WLPA, Wren, myself and the rest of the central staff tendered our resignations in late December... We left the founder with much to work with, 2800.00 and a very hot Pagan url address.... She immediately enlisted the talents of two wonderful and seasoned Witches... The new staff made a quick decision to rebuild the WLPA from scratch and shore themselves up legally. They also decided to cancel support of all the cases and bring the 100% control of the organization back to Salem. It appears that they will focus only on education. They are back in business and are located at the same url (celticcrow.com)... Their home page indicates a request for a 30-60 day period to make necessary adjustments. This is reasonable as they will need time to rebuild things. WE of the Witches' Voice wish them only the best in 1997 and will be among the first to celebrate their success related to using the Quill and the Sword as tools of education and defense.
The Music of WitchCraft: We of the Witches' Voice are proud to introduce a listing of Witch/Pagan artists and several ways to contact them... We also plan on breathing life back into a project from our past incarnation called "Freedom Fires Vol. I". It broke our hearts to have to cancel this project in its final days and as soon as we build up the funds, we plan on releasing this fine compilation... look for this new section later this week.
Blessed Be Well!
