What We Count

Witchvox Statistics...
Since the first day we went online with the Witches' Voice we have captured page requests for every page on this site. These days the 'page views' are live and every page on Witchvox that IS viewed sends a count of ONE to the 'site to date' totals and 'month to date' totals represented on our font page (http://www.witchvox.com).
Page Views NOT Hits Hits are page elements (includes/images/text etc...) We don't focus on hits at TWV, we are more interested in single page requests. (to estimate our 'hits' multiply page views time 3.7)
So... What DO we Count Your request(s) for a 'full page of information' is counted as ONE. When you chose to hit this page you added ONE to the overall totals.
What we DO NOT Count: We do not count (or add to the totals)... ANY 'include files', Error Pages, Redirect Pages, images, .cgi calls, .pl calls, .php calls, .mpg audio files, or frame parts (we don't do frames at all). NONE of those elements or pages are reflected in the counts on front page. A note about server-side includes: We DO USE 'include' files and they are laced into pages all over the site. In fact the front page of TWV uses 8 of them (side bars, the mini list views, Wren's nest headlines, footer etc.). Include files are NOT counted in our totals.

- Monthly Details: To view full stats from the last 12 months Click Here... IMPORTANT NOTE: Those totals are taken directly from our server logs and updated hourly... THEY do include redirects and error pages, hence the difference between the slightly lower totals on our front page.
