"Blessed be I am not a pagan or a wiccan or a neo-paganwhat ever that means. I am a husband of a practicing witch and something i just dont understand is why is it that for a religion that is from my understanding a belief in the earth and personal as well as group wellness could have so many labels for the people who really believe in the teachings and practices. the way i see it the wiccan religion is becoming no better than any other orginized religon. the catholics label anyone who doesnt say they believe hole-heartedly in thier beliefs a non catholic. Why so many labels i dont believe in any religous teachings but i do think if my daughter is going to believe in any form of religion i would prefer she learn of a religion that teaches to love the planet yourself and all other living things. What i am trying to say is stop fighting and get it together. You dont have to like your neighbor or your coven members name for a specific spell or utensil just call it what you want and learn to except that you all have the same general beliefs. thanks for your ear forkboy"

"It is sad to know that even one of the most open of minded religions is having a crone of time excepting the open mind thinking of other people. Although Witch Wars are not the first to have this approach. When I started in the Craft at the age of 13 even younger I was faced with my friends and family looking down at me even punishing me for my new practices. Not only was I seeing the truth behind some people I saw an ugly truth behind the members of the Craft Communtiy as well. No one and I mean NO ONE would even give me a review on a good book title to learn the Craft from. No one would even give me that sneaky pointing finger in the right direction. I was alone with the Goddess night after night learning what I can and how I can from books newsletters magazines and so forth. I got threw it only to learn of the Witch Wars between Group Leaders and even Stores that have now have the youth by the heart.Even today I learn that many pagans out there are not even living up to the simple Three-Fold-Law anymore. Yes this is sad.. But there is a lesson and History is repeating itself once again. In my opion When the settlers came from Europe to the new world in look for freedom of religous beliefs they didnt even know how to remove themselves from the harsh being of the Roman Catholic Churchs Ways. Our society is learning paganism as a freedom of belief and we can even see how to learn break away from strict and greedy ways in an open minded religion. So what are we to do I think a community we need to help each other teach ourselves to be leaders and as leaders teach others that they too can be leaders. In all the classes that I have now taken and all the studying that I have pushed on myself High Priest isnt a fun job but it is a rewarding job in your own heart. That is taking one a new kind of magic and learning about the responisablities about it. We see even today Craft Stores out to make the money and that extra buck from the Craft Community. Yet we dont always see what is left on the side of our needs. Open Circles Networkings WorkShops and so much more. Free Wicca 101 lessons handouts and that extra inch to provide not for you not for your customers but for the Craft Community and Society all together. I cant wait until I open that new store As the God and Goddess childern we need to learn to be in their image and learn the lessons that they have to offer always. For with out each other we are nothing."

"I would like to commend you for your coverage of this subject. It pains me to see people struggling and arguing with thier brothers and sisters.A family is about love and understanding and we are a family. When I 13 years old I first discovered paganism. It changed my life so drastically.I thought I had finally found a haven fom all of the squabbling that I felt was what was wrong with the world I was born into.I now know that was a naive way to think.I am 25 years old and much wiser. After being solitary for 10 years I decided I wanted to become involved in a group.I looked into the local pagan community and all I could see was the same political maneuvering that I saw in the world around me.No matter who I talked to it seemed it was more important who I supported what side I chose than what we could do to help the community as a whole.I think it should be obvious that we are all connected everything we do affects everything we are.I could not let myself be drawn into this negativity that I felt could do nothing more than draw more negativity. While I understand it will not be easy to just give up old rivalries and embrace I still feel it is what must be done if we are to further ourselves as a whole. So I am still a solitary witch. One single tree does not a forest make. Blessed be and merry meet"

"I think that more coverage ought to be given to pagans working together than pagans fighting amongst ourselves. I mean those problems in our community for the most part tend to solve themselves eventually- usually with both parties deciding it really wasnt worth their time. Most witch wars that I have ever come across were usually due to some sort of misunderstanding and no true ill will and malice."

"I think that we as pagans need to come together to form a complete and unified community instead of bickering like little children about the things we want or the things we desire. Like SEX. MONEY. and most of all POWER of anything I feel is wrong We as Wiccanpagans should enjoy each others presence as there are not that many of us out there and when wee fight and bicker we are really being judgmental and acting no better then our Christian AdversariesWE NEED TO COME TOGETHERSpirit of the Lake for Wiccan UnityTameika and Fox Oak"

"These witch wars are tearing what little community we all have left apart. I dont ever remember being taught that in the Wiccan Rede it said anything about fighting one another. In order to survive we need to all bury our petty differences and unite with one another. That is the only way our kind is going to survive into the next millenium. Now dont get me wrong Im all for guarding and protecting what is oursbut at what cost. I have been in the very heart of at least 3 witch wars and in the end no one was left with anything but painand bitterness. We all need to remember that in the end we hurt no one but ourselvesand also those we would pass on this knowlage our children. blessed be to all."

"Sadly I feel that we are always going to be burdened with these witch-wars.Its human nature. we have not evolved enough to get beyond these traits.I fell into one a few years back. it started at Starwood 95 and carried on throughout that summer and if I know the other folks involved at all its probably still going in one form or another. This war brought out every ugly human trait that I think I have ever witnessedeven in myself. I was very new and trusting and I see now a bit confused at the time and did not realise what was happening until it was much too late. The whole situation very nearly turned me away from Her path At the time I too believed that the pagan community was a perfect place of love and light and butterflies and bunny rabbits. And I still do. But now I know that even fluffy little bunnies can cast a mean shadow when the light hits them in just the right way.We all do. Thats the beauty of it I really dont see tha"

"How can a religion that is based on love support even the word war I realize that change is neccessary in any community and that a group as large and diverse as ours will never agree on everything but there is so much persicution from the outside that it is a crime to let a difference of outlook tear us apart. Please cant we leave the wars to the ones who are really good at starting them...The christians."
