Quietly this past fall, the Pagan community lost one of its finest associates and mentors. Professor Thomas Begley of Sanford, FL silently succumbed to complications from an extended illness.
A long time Celtic magical practitioner, Tom was known to many both on and offline for his insight, wit and willingness to assist others in their magical learnings and endeavors. As a History of Film Professor and Assistant Technical Director to the Theater Department at the University of Central Florida, Professor Tom Begley taught magic to House Raven’s Loch where many young college students got their first well-grounded introduction into a real understanding of Paganism.
Considered to be a Sanford, FL area magical folk hero, it can be said that Tom’s heart was always in the right place stepping forward to help his students, friends and colleagues in times of need and show them that someone really cared.
Tom will be fondly remembered, greatly loved and missed by many. Rest well Tom and may you wrestle bears and swing swords in the next life too.
