History: Started in the 11th century in Toulon France a form of spiritual awakening in oracle and awareness of the shadows, taught as "thitching" the art of binding wheat stalks and grass roping, later horse hair, as a way to Identify the weavers as those who know the "secrets", you may call them mysteries. It later traveled to Welsh area and later to England. The details are ours and only known to those who serve the Thitching method. In the early 40's, a woman named "Marie" one who was the last of her group, traveled to America to leave the art behind in mystery. However though a twist of fate another from the other side of the USA in California, Lady D would bring her training to the next... As with any design a witch’s craft will always find a home. Becoming a student of this art in the mid 80's, I was invited to share it when I reached completion in this circles’ mystery. As of 1992 (October of) , I started a coven in Maryland and continue its design to this day....
Core Beliefs
We believe that one isn't whole until we see what the art wishes to show. We are spiritual but not religious even though we can have council with deities/angels/beings/ghost/and god/goddess. We feel that if you are to be anything then you are here to serve it until it welcomes you, by ritual or by name. We honor the fact we learn about the mysteries and try and keep them as private as needed by an oath, which has to be set in ritual (beyond this, ask) . We believe in the nature of true womanhood and the power of the word "WITCH" and it is displayed in private or in group coven. A Witch is the one who is ready to be the teacher as well.
Leadership
We have 3 types: Lady on High (high priestess) to most, He who assists (High Priest) and Guardian/Consort or Daughter of the arts (priestess) or in our title, Lady in standing. The role of those given these rewards is such, as the Lady in standing, you maintain and teach the circle and foster others within it, network with other witches and such and teach as offered to any who ask.
High priest (he who is assisting) is one who serves the circle and the nature of those that serve the she who is the Lady or the Lady in standing. The guardian/consort is both student and watcher to the circle and the covens design and role is set by those in this who are the one who brought them in, however they prepare the ritual space and serve as its protector if needed.
Priestess, or lady in standing, serves the circle/those who enter/and tools and task of the lady herself, and is in consort to those of the High Priest if required in rituals to be the next Lady on High. Beyond that she serve the designs and will of those who serve her to enter.
Membership
Since that time it has evolved into the practices of the past and future from the ones who had brought it even to awareness, schoolings and workshops are available to one who wishes to explore this form and its different parts: AOW, Order of the Black Rose, Dragon wood Cove, Wu and the Root itself.
We are a Mature witches coven, that will not work with those underage, however for those interested they can learn safely about the models of how and why...if they chosen to by one who may allow them entrance in the future. We respect any other designs, however disagree if they fear to be open to the freedoms this year’s awakening has brought forth, for it has been more then 80 some years before the awareness of the true witches’ personal worth has been granted a chance to be more then holiday candy.
Any who seek to join us must offer up proof of their dedication, and keep to the Oath of conduct, which is more about not sharing our rituals and secret mysteries unless they acting as a guide or helping other witches who have done similar working, As we seek no one who isn't like us, as in has the same desire for love/life/and fruits of the sun and moon in ritual. We prefer natural awareness, as many witches of the thitching way of thinking tend to do things in our art and not know it, even dream about beforehand (To learn more, seek our book) .
Holidays and Celebrations
We serve only four seasons, and to each is a grand awareness of the tools and skills of all the different parts of the witches’ design, and the nature of thitching itself. In each we are connected to the Moon, and shadow the sun. We can observe any and all other ritual/spiritual holidays and pagan ideals, however we are more watcher then... to know more is to serve the messages of Oath.
Ways of worship
We worship without a religious view, those powers and natures that seek to know us, divine womanly power and self, and the secrets of the ancient mindsets that allowed us to be. We do skyclad ritual for entrance and maintaining energy ritual, you call it "charging". In these rituals you are marked with sacred symbolism that has been in the world since the days of first thought. Advancing, you go from being marked to being allowed to have a voice in our designs, and awakening your own as well.
We have mature rituals to serve and to show dedication to the ones within and to anoint and mark the freedoms of being in such a practice. This is to test and unleash the will to see what the Powers/Others/God/Goddess and natures think of Us. Underlined is a "Pro Goddess design", however it is meant more as a way of communicating with the goddess within, and her way of transforming those in this are into "divine beautiful witches".
You have heard of "glam/glamor" spells? We got that all beat. You will do five rituals, then three and finally you move to the last nine with each cycle signifying a passage to the final circle. We have a very simple but very magickal system that explains and commands the pentagram and circles themselves. Beyond that you get into the circle image as the ancient being known as the "dragon" which was/is used to seal the circles’ connection to the gateways of ceremonial arts and the rituals requested to the dedicates...
