Our beloved friend, high priestess and the kids' "second grandma" passed to the Summerland at 12:41 on Tuesday, 9 January, 2002; after a long illness.
Linda is a long-time member of the Chicago-area Pagan Community, high priestess and teacher of the Pagans of the Woods coven and one of the founders of the Midwest Pagan Council. She was well known & loved at the Pan Pagan Festival as the hostess of the follies, co-hostess of Meet & Greet, and for the delightful children's activities. She was married to Stanley Batwinski for 23 wonderful years. Linda will be sorely missed by us all.
Her memorial ceremonies are as follows:
Saturday, 12 January, from 9 am to 3 pm, viewing at Owen Funeral Home, Whiting, Indiana. Memorial service to follow, performed by Bella and Brian of Woods Park Pagan Temple. These rituals will be attended by family members and friends of many faiths, and thusly will be inter-denominational. A graveside service will be held after the memorial. Friends & family may return for a dinner at the Whiting Masonic Temple after the farewell services.
Directions from MI: Take I-94 West toward Gary, IN. Get off the freeway at Whiting at the Kline exit, go North. Take Kline to the corner of 119th Street and Calumet. The funeral home is on 119th. I would suggest a good Indiana map. We are car-pooling there beginning at 8:00 AM Michigan time if you need a ride or would like to caravan, please show up at our house before 8. (616) 427-6159 for more information.
These are the facts as I know them. If you are aware of any incorrect information, please let me know. Thank you and blessed be. -- A.C. Fisher Aldag (Email: email@example.com)
Additions to the Memorial for Linda Batwinski...

Details: Words in rememberance of Linda Bee:
from Kelly Weaver - It saddens me to learn that Linda B has passes on. I have many good memories of Linda; conversations I had with her, spending the afternoon at Pan Pagan Festival singing with her. She was wonderful with the children. I offer my condolences to her family.
from Juno - Every year at Pan Pagan Fest and later at Invocation, I watched Linda's health gradually deteriorating, and I knew this had to happen eventually. And every year I was glad to see her there again, and despite her troubles she always brought light and energy. There will be an empty space this year.
We also have a picture of her that we would like to post if we may.
