| Church of the Blessed Moon's Amie and Rich Type of Passage: Handfasting Date of Passage: May 5th. 2007

Church of the Blessed Moon (CBM) was honored to perform the handfasting of Amie and Rich, on May 5, 2007. Amie and Rich have been members since Samhain of 2005, along with their daughter Asia. Although Amie and Rich were legally joined 9 years ago at a courthouse, this was the first time they were able to be honored by friends and family.
Amie and Rich tied the knot in a Nordic style wedding, which ended with Amie and Rich performing the Great Rite in their own private tent. Several shouts of "Horriyah" could be heard from the tent, resulting in many laughs from their guests. Apparently, experiencing the Goddess and God in the act of creation was quite the cosmic event, according to Amie and Rich. Both Amie and Rich hope the event results in the birth of a child.
Afterwards, everyone enjoyed food, gifts, and wedding cake. The cake was chocolate with marshmellow frosting and chocolate oozed over the top of the cake. Amie and Rich also jumped the fire for added fertility afterwards.
CBM wishes the best for Amie and Rich in their married life to come.
