As I sat in trance under the light of the moon, I gazed into my cauldron of water and saw the silvery light begin to swirl within it. The lights became stronger and stronger and it soon swept me into a vision.

I began to see a road, which I was flying above. I was hurtling through the air at enormous speeds, and my energy was wild. I came across a deep pit in the ground. It was a hole that seemed to go to the darkest depths of the earth, and bring back up an air of mystery. Instantly, I was sucked into it. The pressure of the pit was so immense. It became darker and darker as I descended.

After landing on a hard ground, I got up and looked around myself. I was in a cavern underneath the earth, and it was illuminated by one flame. Suddenly the room got cold. A dark figure loomed in front of me. Her hood pulled over her head, and her body ancient, she turned around slowly. Finally she was facing me. I gazed into her wrinkled face for what seemed like centuries, but was really less than a second. Her leer had intensity like no other�

She was the crone. She was the dark mother, the power to end, she who cuts the cords of all life, the fear running through your heart- and she was right in front of me. Her endless wisdom was very apparent, as you could feel the wisdom itself lingering around her

And then, I felt the presence of everything I fear. It seemed to scream in my ears and suffocate me. So, my heart began to race, and I snapped out of the trance. I couldn't handle the crone. She was too intense and too strong. What was it about her? Why was she so horrible to see? I snapped out the trance and pondered this question.

Soon, a light bulb went off in my head. It gave me the answer. I could not look into her face without being overwhelmed because we humans hate endings. We hate change. The crone represents endings and in its purest form. She is also all human fears combined into one.

As I thought about my experience, I realized that she is also change itself. She is the very form and face of the ever-changing earth. I listened to my heart, and heard what she told me:

"Change is source"

And so, I let her words turn into a chant, and my fears turn into water. The chant echoed from my throat, as I pounded the drum. I had faced the crone. It was one of the most amazing ritual experiences of my life. But what exactly is SOURCE?

Source is another word for God/dess, Allah, or the All. It is genderless in nature. It is the fountain of life from which all things flow. Change is source because without change, there would be no life. We must accept and face change in order for our lives to be ideal.

Change not only happens physically, but metaphysically. Right now we are spiritually evolving. We are currently on a 3rd dimensional existence. When we reach 5th, all suffering will end. But change can't always happen on its own. Spiritual evolution needs our support. It needs prayers of love for human kind. It needs understanding and compassion.

I think we are not at the 5th dimension yet because of all the hatred still out there. Homophobia, racism, misogyny- they are all forms of hate and discrimination. Prejudice holds us back from peace.

Another factor keeping us here in the 3rd dimension is the lack of knowledge. People are lazy, and laziness leads to stupidity. If you are too lazy or too ignorant to learn about the world around you, you are keeping us at a standstill. In the 5th dimensional realm of the Reptilian race (yes, I know it sounds crazy) , it has been reported that their children go to school for a century to get a master degree in every subject possible. They pay special attention to the arts.

It is also said that in the 5th dimension truth is the dominating force. Nobody can be false with each other because they communicate on a telepathic level. 5th dimensional beings do not use time because there is no need for it. It is a beautiful state to exist in. We cannot get to this beauty while remaining in the bigoted state of mind. We must move past hate, and move into love. We need truth, honor, and compassion.

The power of prayer is SO important. It opens energy vortexes like nothing else. It only takes three people with prayers to move energy. It only takes those three prayers to create change. Of course, we can create change on our own but the more people, the stronger it is.

To pray for the well being of the world is to pray for your spiritual growth. Call forth the goddess Quan Yin to help you learn the compassion needed to pray for world peace. Without true compassion, the prayer is false. Remember, spiritual growth takes truth.

Ritual is another great way to grow spiritually. Ritual helps us establish a relationship with deity. It helps us personally attune to the energies of the divine. While letting us get in contact with our inner-self, ritual also provides wise insights. I was inspired to write this whole article by ONE ritual insight. So in honor of spiritual growth, I give you this prayer to recite once a day:

"May all beings everywhere plagued

with sufferings of body and mind

quickly be freed from their illnesses.

May those frightened cease to be afraid,

and may those bound be free.

May the powerless find power,

and may people think of befriending

one another.

May those who find themselves in trackless,

fearful wilderness--

the children, the aged, the unprotected--

be guarded by beneficent celestials,

and may they swiftly attain Buddhahood."*
