A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away�

In the beginning, there was the Great Spirit. No one knows how this Spirit came to be, it just always was. The Great Spirit was perfect in its composition, balance, and flawless in its approach of creation. The Great Spirit had the amazing ability to create what it saw fit, from the greatest galaxies to the smallest organism. This Energy spent millenniums creating perfect galaxies, stars, planets, and rogue comets for its amusement.

But the Great Spirit was becoming lonely, as the comets could not speak nor did they have intelligence to do anything other than fly in elliptical orbits around the great sky. Something had to be done.

The Great Spirit was running out of ideas of things to create, as one would do after millenniums of creation with no new inspiration. It began to experiment on a distant planet with ideas of possible companions that could help.

The Great Spirit created an intellectual race of beings from its own physiology that was a collection of all the positive creative energy that it possessed, and a race composed of all the negative destructive energy. They would be called �Gods� Secretly named meaning �Good Over Destructive Species�, but the Gods were not informed of this favoritism, as both were necessary for balance.

For the positive Gods it created a massive golden squared vehicle capable of interstellar travel, named the �New Jerusalem� with the instructions to find a planet to inhabit with their new creation. They quickly discovered the perfect planet of Earth, it was a living creature unto itself as rivers and magma flowed like blood, it breathed into the atmosphere, and it produced many varieties of possible food, like a nurturing mother, and was so named �Mother Earth�.

The Gods decided, rather than create a race already perfect; to create one that would learn and grow through experiences, that way the outcome would be varied, different, and exciting. The Positive Gods then enlisted the help of the Negative Gods who were busy making stars explode, to create trials and tribulations to help mold the creations.

The Negative Gods demanded that if they are to help in such an endeavor they must have some type of reward for their efforts. The battling of the positive and negative started immediately after the Great Spirit released the duality. But the Great Spirit was not deterred. A simple solution could focus their incessant battling.

The Great Spirit visited the two races of Gods and gave this solution: �Both of you are to help create this special race of humans, and in turn, both will equally benefit. A great hourglass was created and in those sands of time a timer began�

The Great Spirit spoke with a galactic thunder, �When the sands of time run out, the experiment will be over. The humans that have proven they are aligned with the positive energy, will shed their Earthly bodies and join the positive energies, and those that encompass the negative energies will join with the negative, making them stronger��

It was agreed.

The Gods searched for a model by which to create these humans that would be fitting to the terrain of Mother Earth. They looked at the creatures that already inhabited her and found one that would work. These creatures were covered in hair and climbed in trees to avoid predation on the ground. They were amazed at how gracefully they swung from tree to tree. It had already evolved to have masculine or feminine energies like those of the Great Spirit.

�We will take this creature and make it evolve; it will lose most of its hair, and learn to walk upright. It will learn to harness fire, and its intelligence will grow with age. Each will have the seed of both energies embedded deep within, and will battle both so the final decision will be obvious. When the sands run out we will come back like a fire in the sky and collect our winnings.�

And so it began.

The Great Spirit tickled Mother Earth, and she began to shake. The ground split, and suddenly the space between the trees was farther than before. Now the creatures had to climb down to the ground and run to the next tree, they learned to walk.

All over the planet, the creatures began to emerge and the Great Spirit was happy, and enjoyed watching them evolve. And over time, the internal battle began to outwardly show. Some people were obviously good-natured; they sought out positive results to problems while others turned to destruction.

The Gods were happy to count all the new additions to their race. For as the humans died, the energy they had built up inside was released and joined the respective Gods making them stronger.

But the Great Spirit noticed that the humans seemed lost, and had no direction� so The Great Spirit secretly sent a message to the humans through the many different animals at first, its favorite was the Raven, for it had the ability to speak.

Later, when humans became smarter, it embedded it in the heart of several of the newborns spaced over many centuries, as not to be so easily detected: �To strive to be positive, and do what was beneficial to all humans.�

These �special people� became known as Shamans and prophets. The Negative race found out about this deception and the Great Spirits obvious favoritism. So, in a rash act of destruction the negative energies smashed the great timer, spilling its contents into the great sky, which became known as the Milky Way.

The Great Spirit was distraught at the recent development, as now there was no way to gage the time that humans would spend on Earth. Stories of the time of the mass calling of humans to join the Energies in the sky began to grow� and over time came to be known as the Rapture by some people.

But since the timer was broken, no one would know the time of the end of the experiment. The Gods would keep an eye on the developments of the humans on Earth by using small vehicles to reach the planet�s surface. Humans found the vehicles and called them chariots in the sky and began calling their drivers, Gods.

The Gods saw that the humans began building shrines to worship them, and this pleased them greatly. Over time many religions sprung up to praise the many Gods, but the Negative Gods were jealous, as The Great Spirits message made more people worship and follow the Positive Gods, so in turn they made the religions and the people start fighting amongst each other, as to who was better� causing mass chaos. The Negative Gods profited from this chaos, as it brought more negative energy to them.

Humans still fight to this day; on whose Gods� are better, which gender is stronger, and whose religion is the correct one. Little do they know that the more they fight, the more power is given to the Negative Gods. The Great Spirit now has the excitement that it needed.

And so the Experiment continues...
