My mother always told me "If you want something done, find a busy person"... Turns out she was, as always, correct.
Trish Telesco is not only a busy person but one that DOES effect change in our community with her many books (30 is it?), lectures and consistent involvement in just about everything Pagan. She has attended numerous festivals all over the US and brings a wealth of experience to these topics.
When we chatted at PhoenixPhyre this past April, Trish offered to help us out with our never-ending mountian of email. In May I submitted that what we really needed were some powerful tips for attending Festivals for our ever popular Pagan Festivals section. Trish agreed and immediately starting sending over pages. Ever the professional, Trish enlisted the help of friends to best flesh out many of these pages. The result is a powerful festival guide for both the "first timer" and veteran attendee.
Festival tips and guidelines have been around for years but we wanted to do something indepth that would continue to grow and change with community itself. One of the first 'Net guides we had heard of was by our friend Silver Ravenwolf. She had put together a wonderful guide few years back (see side bar link) and we are proud to continue to send you to this wonderful piece. Free Spirit Alliance has a powerful one as well and it is linked from the side bar as well.
Since our inception, WitchVox has celebrated the festivals, gatherings, circles and events of the Neo Pagan community. During this period you have listed over 8, 600 of them. We are proud to say that we keep this listing VERY clean and events expire the day after they happen. This means that you never have to look at dead/past events. For our extensive listing of events in your area check out your Events in Your town over at WitchVox.net. For detailed reviews of many of the Pagan Festivals of the past three years (laced with wonderful photos) visit the WitchVox Festival Review Pages . NOTE: If you are planning on attending a festival and would like to review it, kindly check out our past reviews for a look and feel. Then email us the text and any photos that you can get (with permission of those in the shot of course).
These days festivals and gatherings are popping up everywhere and all of them continue to grow in strength and attendance. The Witches' Voice is honored to present this critical and informative guide to Pagan Festivals by Trish Telesco and friends. Bless YOU Trish and friends for what you have done and what you continue to do for us all!
