The Journey

In the beginning ... Oh that’s already been used. How about, When we were born into this life... better.

Our path starts with our first breath. Our path ends with our last. In-between is the journey on our path of life with many twists and turns and sometimes even a detour, there are many intersections and on/off ramps that lead to other paths.

Some you may want to travel, some you do not. There are many wondrous and amazing things to see and experience along the way, so make sure to take note of all of them. Many believe that this is but one lifetime of many, I happen to be one of those. But how many if more than one is not the question I want to address. How we navigate this path of life is enough for this humble witch to attempt.

Well now that we understand that breathing is involuntary, just about everything else is a choice. A choice either made deliberately, or one allowed to happen. Either way a choice is after all a choice. Now, with every choice large or small the effect on our path can be very dramatic, as we don’t know what the future holds for us.

The future is available through your spirit guides, because ALL knowledge is in the Web Of Life. Being able to access this knowledge takes a relationship with and an understanding of the Web of Life itself.

A little something to think about: Knowledge is Power but power comes from Knowledge. As our path weaves and winds its way through this life hopefully in the direction we would like it to go. I would like to think that most people follow the path that makes them happy or at least satisfied.

But sadly I hear so many people sounding lost, confused, frustrated, even mad, because they are having trouble finding their way. It is not that difficult, try to follow me here. I would like to let anyone who is feeling like this know that, It is ok to give yourself a break, you can adjust your path at any time with a little thing called a choice.

You can change your route, take a detour, or just avoid something unpleasant at any time. As long as you keep in mind where you are going, and where you want to end up. An informed choice is better than one made blind, but any choice made is better than one allowed to just happen.

Now we understand choices and how they affect our path through this life. How do we apply this to our religion? The only religion/ belief system that I feel qualified to express my views about is a natural one. I was born a witch, and taught by my mother and grandmother, who were both shaman. My mother was very open-minded and helped me find out about other ways.

When I became an adult I started weaving my own path of life, rather than following my native teachings, which is a mixture of Shaman, Wicca, Celt, Egyptian, and various other bits and pieces. I have noticed that every time someone comes up with a twist on a nature based belief it gets a new name. I am not saying that is good or bad I am just noticing. That is why I choose to call myself Witch. Enough about me, my point is, research and study.

Don’t be afraid to experiment and question, that way if something you learn doesn’t fit your own personal belief, discard it. The information that is valid to you, keep it and build on it. There are many truths that are constant in all beliefs, and as you learn they will become very obvious to you. Even if you don’t have another person to help you, you are never really alone. I am talking about all of the information in books, on line, in churches (yes churches) , from inside yourself, and from the web of life itself. Do not limit yourself as to where you gain information, after all it is your life, live it the best you can.

A very wise man once said, “All things are connected. Whatever befalls the earth, befalls the sons of the earth. Man did not weave the web of life. He is merely a strand in it. Whatever he does to the web, he does to himself.” -- Chief Seattle 1854.

Most people are taught from the time they are small, that they must close their hearts and minds to everything that doesn’t fit in with societies rules. Well bull#%^*. People have free will and free choice, to believe what they feel and to control their own path. So make the choice to open your mind and heart to the fact that there might be more out there than what you have been led to believe.

Find out for yourself. You are the only one you know you can trust.

Everything on your path will not be easy. Some will be, but most will take some effort. If it were all easy, it would not be an adventure. One lesson that is pretty important is that the universe is made up of positive and negative energy in everything: dark/light, male/female, good/bad, above/below, everything. With this lesson as it is with all of the “mysteries”, If you open your eyes you will see-If you open your heart you will feel- If you open your mind you will know.

Again it is not my intent to try and have all the answers, but I do hope I was able to give you a direction to seek out your own answers. Don’t be surprised if in the seeking for answers you find many more questions.

Never stop seeking. Again there are many who believe that the seeking is the journey, and as you gain knowledge you gain power, which enables you to seek even farther. Once again I am one.

In parting I want to apologize if I sound Shaman, I was trying very hard to stay neutral. I hope we can all travel the Good Red Road together.

Bright Blessings,
Randy
