The Birth of Change

Today, the world celebrates the dawn of a new era. The birth of change has come. On this day, January 20, 2009, we usher out the quiet retreat of the old Presidency and invoke blessings upon the ways of the new administration. I personally, feel honored and grateful for the steps that this nation has taken thus far. The heart of the new leadership is to carry out our mission – not their mission. This election was the first of its kind. It was the first election where I saw the Spirit rise…and it most surely has risen.

There is a mission upon the world today. A new dawn of service in which we are called to do our part has been placed upon us in this hour. We the people of the United States have never failed to rise out of the ashes of despair. Though our planet is in peril, our world is at war, our country is shedding the blood of democracy, and our families are in despair, we are called at this time to come together.

We know that two are more powerful than one, that ten are more powerful than two, and that when we stand together for a common purpose, we are unstoppable. Let us celebrate the song of freedom and light the candle of unity today.

We must work day and night, tirelessly to preserve the element of the earth. This element grounds us. Each day that we walk upon the land in our bare feet, with trees towering overhead, we must walk in the spirit of protection, for without this earth, we shall not walk.

Each day that we breathe the fresh air of fulfillment, we must breathe in the spirit of family and community, for without the freshness of the blowing breeze, we will not be cleansed from our inequity. We must usher in the winds of change.

Let us burn the fires of forgiveness. Let us fan the flames of individuality. Every person in this nation has a unique talent to bestow upon the earth. Let us remember that if we squander our talents, we deprive the people of knowledge. When we develop our own grace, our own will, our own inclinations, we become resilient. We become limitless in our thoughts and in our accomplishments. Let us keep that fire burning in our hearts, for we can do much good with the spirit of the flame. It is the passion of life that sustains us.

Let us wash away the mistakes of our past with the holy water of deliverance. It is in this cleansing that we are purified, sanctified, and transformed. Let it rain with the magick of the moment. As the waters divide us, they also unite us, and with each cresting wave, let us not stand idly by and watch, but instead, let us invoke the Lord and the Lady and ask for them to swiftly transform the hearts and minds of all the people on this planet into the Gods and Goddesses that we are.

There is no group, no religion, and no collective heartbeat that knows the power of the elements like we do. I, personally, would like to see our knowledge spread all over the world. I, personally, would like to open the eyes and the minds of those in fear. I personally would like to bring the world to a common place. I cannot do this alone, nor can you, nor can President Obama, but we can invoke positive change, collective desires, and mutual benefits together.

Let us never discount the spirit of the young, and their contribution to this day. Our children are wise beyond their years and we, as children of the night, have risen to our role. The future is ours, and it is theirs. Let us continue to teach them that their dreams are at their feet, their minds are their greatest weapons, and their innocence, while beautiful, can be their greatest weakness. It is only by knowledge and practical application that they gain the power of inventiveness, the insight of their inner workings, and the leadership required to progress humanity to the next level. It is their spirit that moves us to protect them, to love them unconditionally, and to dive into the very depth of everything we have within us.

We have been warriors. We have stepped up in need. We have pursued countless difficulties and we have won. Let the spirit of the warrior continue to rise if it must, but, let that spirit rise and fall like the thunderbolt of Zeus, striking down all that is not just in a swift flash of freedom. May the Spirit smile upon us today, for we are the warriors of necessity, responsibility, and accountability.

And, we ask ourselves, what do we do now? We must move swiftly. We invoke change. We invoke knowledge. We invoke grace. We invoke our talents. We step to our new position. We look at the larger picture in respect to ourselves. We invoke our time for contribution. We celebrate ourselves, our community, our city, our state, our country, our world, and our universe. We celebrate what we have done. It is a day to step back and say, look what we did. Everyone is looking today and they want to know what we are going to do tomorrow.

Change comes in the blink of an eye. It is the only constant in life. Today, I charge you, to invoke your own personal power, to ground your energies in the earth, to breathe in the Spirit, to guide your thoughts by faith (by whatever name or names you call your God or Goddess) , to light your sacred flame, to cleanse your heart and mind of pain and despair, and to close your eyes tonight, believing in the promise that we shall live in abundance, we shall live in prosperity, and we shall know love and bestow love above all else.

Someone had a dream. Today, that dream is fulfilled. Tomorrow, may you awake and fulfill yours. As above, so below. So mote it be!

With Love and Light,
Starina
