Being on the Pagan path is always an interesting road. Sometimes it is free and spirited and just like any other faith it has its times of doubt and frustration. For a long time I was in a funk I guess you could say, and I didn�t know how to deal with everyday life situations that were critical. Because of this I withdrew myself from the Craft and Pagan structure for a while in a more prayerful and meditative way. I did not perform rituals or spells.

I merely allowed what was around me 'to be' and see what could happen. When something was too much I simply prayed and affirmed that it would be all right. I took down my altar and would let things go for a while. After about a month or so I noticed that what I was doing was just as spiritually attuning as ritual. I was flowing with the earth as we all wish to. I would deal with things strictly as they came and became very impulse driven.

Now this was both a blessing and curse because there were of course times that I was so emotionally involved in a situation that I could not truly see the situation. However the blessing of it was that I realized just how in tune you can become if you just would truly let go for a while. What began happening was something that I actually had been trying to understand for a long time: How to really focus your will in the proper direction so it will be effective and your desired outcome will come to be.

Now in many ways this is kind of roundabout and backwards because the tools are there to help focus your will but for me it was different. I found that for me focusing in and then outward was more effective. Sometimes you really have to let all the trappings go before you can be gifted with what you desire.

I realized that what I was doing was magick, just as powerful as others. Just different in the approach that is taken, which is not the important thing.

My hope is that this may help someone else who may be going through a trying time and need a little new perspective and new idea to get him or her through. Without all the people who are willing to share their ideas we wouldn't have made it this far in life and on this planet. So this truly I hope will bless someone that needs it. Use it or not. Change the words around if you would like.

All that matters is that maybe it gives you something that you need.

I have come to a new way of seeing things and have put what I learned into my personal practice. I would like to share a bit of it with you if I may. I came up with this prayer, or litany as some of my friends have called it and would like to share it with you. Yes, it is a long prayer but it is also a visualization that I have always found comforting as well as empowering.

It is also not just for a Wiccan or Pagan but also for anyone who believes in the polarity of Masculine and Feminine divinity. It is truly a Gnostic spiritual prayer that can be adjusted to fit everyone�s faith structure. I tried to make sure of that because I have given it to others of many different beliefs. So with that I will give you my nighttime prayer and may the God and Goddess bless you always.

Nighttime Prayer

I call upon the White light of Mother and Father God. I ask that it completely surround and fill every single cell, organ, tissue and space in my body. I ask that it cleanse me completely of all evil, darkness, grayness and negativity.

I also call upon the Golden light of intuitive and spiritual knowledge to completely surround me. Let it open my psychic senses completely to Mother and Father God and the beings of light at home in eternal grace.

I also call upon the Purple light of higher consciousness and spirituality to completely surround me and cocoon me. So that I may become more in tune with spirit at greater levels every second of every day.

I also call upon the Emerald green light of healing and prosperity to completely cocoon me. I ask to heal every part of my being physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually with the holy grace of Mother and Father God.

I also call upon the Silver light of Mother Goddess to completely surround me. To bless me with her miracles, magick and power all the days of my life from this point forth.

I also call upon the Silver blue light of protection to surround me and block out all evil, darkness and negativity that tries to come to me in any form. May the great Mother and Father keep me safe and secure in their precious lights.

I also call upon the platinum pillars of light to be placed in every single corner of every single room in this house.

I also ask that they be placed in every single corner of this property to banish all evil. To neutralize all negativity and grayness in any form it may come in. May it guard this property and be a great matrix of power over all of us. So the light of Mother and Father God forever upon us and protect us forever.

I also call upon the Glorious sword and shield of Mother and Father God to be placed before me. May they protect me from all evil, negativity, stress, tension and worry all the days of my life.

I also call upon all the phylum of angels: Angels, Archangels, Cherubim, Seraphim, Dominions, Virtues, Carrions, Thrones and Principalities. May they surround me and bless me with their angelic gifts and presence all the days of my life. May they protect me, bless me, and love me every day when I need it the most especially.

I also call upon my spirit guides and guardian angels to come and watch over me in every way and talk with me for the rest of my days on this earth.
