Pagan Clergy

Clergy Profile: I became Pagan long ago in the late 1970's. I have performed various handfastings and other Rites of Passage over the years.
In 1991 I was ordained in the Fellowship of Isis. For me, this was intended as taking the vocation of a more public Pagan Ministry. I use the FOI title of 'Reverend' where appropriate.
I believe we all need a lot more 'Rites of Passage' than is fashionable nowadays. About every seven to ten years or so, on average, our lives move into new stages. In a culture that is spiritually whole these stages are recognised and blessed by rites of passage. Coming Of Age is something potentially of great importance to our adolescents. And once one's whiskers have greyed as mine have, Joining the Community of Elders should also be celebrated.
I am happy to perform the role of Celebrant in Marriages (with a Registrar in attendance) and Civil Partnerships in addition to Handfastings (which are not currently legally binding in the UK) . Sometimes separations and divorces also need a rite of passage to heal the wounds.
I am also honoured when asked to be Celebrant at Funerals and Memorials. For me, these are a rite for the deceased as well as for the mourners.
I am available to visit Pagans in hospital (presently trying to get more formal arrangements for this) .
