Ordained minister and ritualist, Rev. Karen Tate, is available to perform the legal ceremonies and rituals that mark the most important life passages for yourself or your loved ones. Whether chosen to be done privately or witnessed by the community, these ceremonies help us to memorialize important moments in time, whether that be a beginning, ending, or continuation of one's journey through life.

A thumbnail sketch of my background.....
An ordained minister, ritualist, independent scholar of the Sacred Feminine, and graduate of The Women's Thealogical Institute, specializing in Goddess and Women's Spirituality, Karen's particular emphasis is on the roles of women and the study of comparative religions and ancient cultures in a modern or reconstructed context. It is no surprise then that she is the founder of the educational, art, and cultural organization, The Isis Ancient Cultures Society.
Karen spends much of her time giving interviews, teaching, and lecturing at private and public educational and spiritual institutions, temples and churches. She is a new speaker with the Center for Partnership Studies, founded by Riane Eisler and Karen has just become an associate with the Joseph Campbell Foundation.
Her published articles have appeared in both domestic and international publications since 1995. She is currently a contributing writer to Sacred History Magazine, Mystic Pop, Circle News, the Beltane Papers, and other domestic and international magazines, including several online zines. Karen is a contributing writer to the recently published Heart of a Woman in Business and the soon to be published books, How to Speak Goddess and the textbook, Feminine Reformation: A Goddess Meta Narrative. She is a member of the International Women's Writing Guild. Sacred tours she has led and organized have itineraries that circle the globe and through A Special Journey Travel, she continues bringing the like-minded to sacred sites to experience the joy of purposeful travel.
Rates: See varied Ministerial Services above. , Minimum donation requested is $150.00 for 30 - 60 minute ceremony. Elaborate ceremonies or requests may require additional time and therefore higher fee. Reimbursement for travel expense might be required.
