Located in: Fort Collins, Colorado
Clergy Profile: I am in the Ovate Grade in the Order of Bards, Ovates, and Druids; the largest Druid organization in the world; a Druid's Apprentice in the Ancient Order of Druids in America, a church that trains and ordains clergy, and I am the founder of Treehenge Druidic Circle, a Seedgroup of OBOD. In addition, I am a Doctor of Philosophy and think of myself as a Noble Stream / Anruth.
I have been a handfasting celebrant, taught workshops on Druidry and Ogham divination, been interviewed on the radio about druidry, and lectured on Druidry at Naropa University. I've read numerous books on the subject including books written by the most important Druid leaders in the world, as well as, historical, linguistic, literary and theoretical works.
I have been leading ritual since 2001 and haven't missed a sabbat or festival since Imbolc 2000.
Colorado does not require clergy to perform weddings. Marriages are a legal contract and anyone including the couple themselves can perform the ritual.
Colorado Revised Statute 14-2-109 "Solemnization and registration.
(1) A marriage may be solemnized by a judge of a court, by a court magistrate, by a retired judge of a court, by a public official whose powers include solemnization of marriages, by the parties to the marriage, or in accordance with any mode of solemnization recognized by any religious denomination or Indian nation or tribe."
The handfastings that I have led are full of symbolism and a profound sense of love.
As far as I know, I am the most experienced and qualified Druid in Fort Collins, and perhaps in all of Colorado. Please let me know if I am mistaken.
