Pagan Clergy

Dia

Located in: Lawrenceville, Georgia

Clergy Profile: I have degrees in Organizational Psychology, Theater, and Journalism (North Georgia University, 1994) . I am a pagan author, minister, and advocate. I spent five years studying paganism with an ordained High Priest and received ordination in 2005. Although, my book about creating Family Coven was published in 2015 by Immanion Press and Megalithic Books [Family Coven: Birthing Hereditary Witchcraft. Stafford, United Kingdom.], it was predated by works being featured in magazines like Circle Sanctuary and Modern Witch Magazine, in addition to e-publication with The Witches’ Voice (under a different login) and Patheos Pagan Portal. My book was listed by the Huffington Post in 2016 ~ 2017, as the number six must read book on paganism for its unique view of family life, teaching ethics, paganism, magic, and group magical working.

In addition to being published online and in print magazines, I was featured in a pagan almanac and three pagan anthologies:

(2016) Living in Community with Trauma Survivors by Lydia Crabtree. Pagan Consent Culture: Building Communities of Empathy and Autonomy. Kraemer, Christine Hoff & Auburrow, Yvonne, editors. Asphodel Press in cooperation with Lulu Press.
(2013) Pain in a Wiccan World: A Story from Lydia Crabtree. In Blanton, Crystal. Pain and Faith in a Wiccan World: Spirituality, Ethics and Transformation. Stafford, United Kingdom. Immanion Press through Megalithic Books.
(2013) Turning Disability into Opportunability by Lydia Crabtree. Rooted in the Body Seeking the Soul: Magic Practitioners Living with Disabilities, Addiction, and Illness. Stafford, United Kingdom. Immanion Press through Megalithic Books.
(2009) Multiple Chapters and Sections. Llewellyn’s Sabbats and Almanac Samhain 2009 to Mabon 2010. Woodbury, Maine. Llewellyn Worldwide.

In 2012, I was part of the group that founded Willow Dragonstone Community & Coven, Inc., in Gwinnett County. I have been Willow’s High Priestess minister since. Willow consistently has attendance to one of the eight holidays pagans celebrate of around twenty to thirty-five persons. Willow agreed to and was featured in the docuseries produced by Atlanta Interfaith Broadcasting, directed by Audrey Galex, called Exploring Paganism. I appear in most of these episodes discussing pagan symbolism, rites, rituals, tools, and beliefs. Additionally, I have been called as an expert witness to testify about paganism and its impact upon children and families as part of my advocation for religious rights of pagans and Wiccans. I was honored to help the Georgia State Patrol re-write their guidelines for officer training in relationship to dealing with minority religions ensuring that many religions that often go underserviced were included: the Sheikh Philosophy and Bahá'í Faith among them.

When I graduated with degrees in psychology, theatre, and journalism with an extensive background in musical instruments and singing, I joked there was no job that would utilize them all. However, being a High Priestess minister has required the discipline of these occupations. Having organized and performed rituals to accommodate hundreds of pagans, and presided over numerous pagan weddings and joint ceremonies with other faith traditions, I am accustomed to fielding questions about the pagan traditions, Wicca, and witchcraft. My life has required that I be as comfortable singing pagan chants as I am singing Shakespearean sonnets; leading interfaith prayer as I am delivering the rites of pagan holidays and Full Moon ceremonies.

My expertise includes the history of the pagan movement, ancient through modern times, especially as it relates to paganism’s development in the United States. I am viewed as an expert in parenting and creating and maintaining family spirituality in paganism; chronic illness and pagan philosophy; and trauma as it intersects with pagan traditions, rituals, and beliefs. I have traveled the US speaking to other pagans regarding sacred geometry, math and mysticism, divinatory systems, storytelling in the style of Southern storytellers that including life in the South, pagan stories old and new, and some American Indian stories; and Geomancy.

Rates: For any service outside of 25 miles from my location, I require a stipend for $50 per day and lodging if necessary for weddings. I can perform counseling on line and to a sliding scale. I am also a medium and provide those services for a donation to my co
