Clergy Profile: Adam Gray attended school at Franklin County. In 1999 he attended college at Athens Technical College where he earned his degree in Certified Nursing Assistance. During his study as a Certified Nursing Assistance he would learn valuable skills that would prove to benefit his life to come. These skills include, but are not limited to, counseling, helping others with chronic or terminal illness, and comforting others that have been abused in all its aspects.
Adam Gray wasn’t subjected to religious beliefs as a child, although he was raised in a predominantly Christian society. At the age of twelve, he would be the first in his immediate family to attend a local Baptist church. He would attend this church for four years and would be baptized before he realized that this wasn’t the belief system in which he wanted to live his life. Shortly, after his departure from the Baptist church, he would attend a United Methodist church before converting to Catholicism in 1997.
In the later part of 1998, Adam Gray began to research the major religions of the world and would come to realize that many of the major religions had many similarities. During his research, he came across an ancient neo-pagan belief system called Witchcraft. While studying the beliefs and practices of Witchcraft, he noticed that Wica contained many of the same beliefs and practices of Withcraft and in the later part of 1998 would begin his training as a neophyte in Traditional British Witchcraft, commonly referred to as Traditional British Wica. He became an initiate of the Coven of the Mystical Cauldron from which he was elevated to Third Degree and in 2002 would hive off to form Oak Forest Coven.
After establishing Oak Forest Coven, Adam Gray's love for healing would lead him to earn his Master/Teacher Certificates in Usui Reiki in 2008. He is currently writing a book on Traditional British Witchcraft (Traditional British Wica) and earning his certification in Hypnotherapy.
He also is the owner of the Google Group called Traditional British Witches. This Group is a place for Initiates and Non-Initiates to discuss the Beliefs and Practices of Traditional British Wica. Anyone wishing to join this Group can do so by visiting the link provided at the end of this profile.
