Pagan Clergy

Lady Charissa, HPs

[A WitchVox Sponsor]

Located in: Rockmart, Georgia

Clergy Profile: High Priestess Lady Charissa's passions lie in teaching, healing and serving the community.

Her earliest childhood memories were of playing "school" with her younger siblings and friends teaching them to read and write. She later went on to major in education in college and has put those skills to work in the Pagan community for many years.

She began her Pagan journey in the mid 80's and studied with the Grove of the Goddess, an eclectic family tradition coven currently based in North Carolina.

Once introduced to working with stones, herbs, moving energy and Reiki, Lady Charissa found another passion and talent; healing.

She received her third degree in 1989 becoming an ordained minister and a Reiki master a few years later.

Having continued on her path as a Solitary for some time, Lady Charissa recognized a need in the community for Pagans of all traditions to have a place to meet, share, socialize and learn.

She founded North Georgia Solitaries in 2004. NGS has since grown to over 400 members with an active calendar of socials, Sabbat rituals, workshops and celebrations.

Lady Charissa provides a variety of clergy services, spiritual counseling and healing. Her methodology to healing is a unique approach. Combining Reiki with several other healing disciplines, she helps patients strive for balance in life, both physical and spiritual, allowing the body's natural energy flow to return to a state of wellness.

As is the sign of a true clergy woman, Lady Charissa strives to serve the community. Her latest mission, the Pagan Assistance Fund is growing by leaps and bounds. She is working hard to promote and build it as a way to bring the community together to provide resources for Pagans in these hard economic times. You can find more information on the PAF at

She serves as Recorder on the board of the Dogwood Local Council of the Covenant of the Goddess, as Member-at-Large on the Board of Directors of the Church of the Spiral Tree and is an active member of the Atlanta Pagan Roundtable.

Please visit the North Georgia Solitaries website to see her vision in action through this energetic and exciting group.

Although solitary practitioners make up a majority of its members, the combined efforts of Lady Charissa's never ending energy and the NGS members are moving to build bridges among paths and reach out to those in need while respecting the rights of all to make one's own spiritual and life decisions.
