Pagan Clergy

Rev. David C. Andrews

Located in: Salisbury, Maryland

Clergy Profile: Merry Meet all,
Born June 15, 1963, Rev. Andrews started life in a small town in Ohio as the youngest of eight children. Due to unknown reasons, Rev. Andrews and his siblings were permanently removed from their home when he was two-years-old. He and one sister were placed in an orphanage where he spent two years before being adopted. At the age of five, he and his new family moved to Maryland.
Enduring a difficult childhood due to an abusive adoptive father, Rev. Andrews nevertheless was encouraged to explore his own spiritual path. He attended Sunday school, was an average student, and yet challenged authority. At fourteen, he was sent to military school where he attempted to take his own life, after which he was sent to one institution after another. During this time, Rev. Andrews "found Jesus" and became a Born Again Christian.
Also during this time, a growing interest in the occult was also flourishing. He held interests in astrology, numerology, and even read the Satanic Bible.
Between the years of 1981 to 1988, Rev. Andrews bounced back and forth between Christianity and other spiritual paths. He attended some college majoring in Mass Communications, deejaying and being Program Director for the college radio station, and became the Public Relations Chairman for the local chapter of the Young Republicans.
During these years, Rev. Andrews met his first Pagan mentor. He was tutored in Eclectic Wicca and was encouraged to follow his own instincts in regards to his spirituality. He studied works on the Golden Dawn and Wicca, read books by Raymond Buckland and Scott Cunningham, and read such works as the "Necronomicon" eventually choosing to follow the Pagan path.
After his mentor's death from bone marrow cancer in 1991, Rev. Andrews roamed the U.S. before returning to Maryland in 1994 to help care for a dying friend. In 1997, he met his wife, Heidi, and they were married in a small courthouse ceremony on September 5 of that year. They have two children, a boy and a girl, born in 1999 and 2001 respectively.
In February of 2004, both Rev. Andrews and his wife became ordained through the Universal Life Church. Together, with another local Pagan minister, they founded the Church of Eclectic Pagan Fellowship - ULC on April 7, 2004. Rev. Andrews now chooses to follow the path of the Eclectic Pagan, trying to help those with questions or in need of advice. He believes all religions are valid and coined the Church's motto, "Many paths...one goal."
