Clergy Profile: "Aiya" and Welcome! I am Calantirniel, which is Elvish (Sindarin, actually) for my other name, AarTiana, which means the Guardian of the Gift of Light.
I became a ULC-ordained Reverend in 2007, for the purpose of those wishing to have a Tolkien-Elven-themed Wedding and/or Handfasting, regardless of religious or spiritual background. The title, "Reverend" (i.e. being revered) does not communicate well how I feel in this capacity, so I like to call myself in Elvish (Quenya particularly) "Envinyanis Lotelenolë, " which means Healer who uses the Deep Wisdom of the Stars and Flowers.
Tië eldaličva, the Elven Path, located at www.ElvenSpirituality.com was created in 2005, and my spiritual skills have been practiced professionally since 2000. Resources are being gathered to make this process easier, as availability of Elven-themed wedding items can come and go. Eventually, we would love to have everything that could be needed in one place, and this is indeed a lofty goal!
Amongst my many divinatory and healing disciplines, I use Astrology for evaluating relationships, finding and maximizing strengths as well as avoiding pitfalls that are inherent with the alchemy of energies. It has been said that anyone can be in a relationship if their collective hearts are truly into it, and that there is plenty of love to conquer any troubled waters - but knowing where troubled waters lie, as well as having a plan showing how to navigate, or even avoid, these waters is more helpful than not knowing this information in advance.
Flower Essences also help integrate lessons in emotional education, erasing old patterns, and preparing us to be an even better partner in relationships, and these are included in the services.
Astrology also helps choose the most ideal day for the Wedding/Handfasting - the larger and more flexible the time frame, the better.
