Clergy Profile: Ordained in a non-denominational church in 1995, i have been performing weddings since 1997 for the larger community, not only pagans.
Typically, i write an original ceremony for each couple. We meet once and discuss their desires, then the couple writes their vows. I write the ceremony using our conversation as permission to channel their Higher Selves, their personal energy, incorporating the vows. We meet again to review and revise as necessary, and plan the logistics. I will attend the rehearsal as well as the ceremony. You will receive a copy of the ceremony after it is performed.
My strength in this type of ritual lies in creating a ceremony that will have your non-pagan relatives smiling. I believe we are all one people, and that is expressed in a way that honors our path as pagans, and puts at ease loved ones who may follow another path.
Couples counseling is optional, and charged separately.
Also, i am currently putting together a couple of ceremonies that are "generic" for occasions when there is not enough time and/or money to allow for a custom wedding. i plan to have a very Pagan option, and at least one other that will accommodate sensitive relatives, and just for fun, i'm also creating a "spur of the moment" ceremony.
I am licensed in Virginia also.
