Pagan Clergy

Joyshine

Located in: Garner, North Carolina

Clergy Profile: I am an eclectic Pagan priestess who mainly hangs out with Dionysus and Persephone, but I'm on good terms with, and have a deep appreciation for, other pantheons and traditions. I love Story, in all its forms, and I believe that the stories we tell have the power to open new avenues of thought, clarify desires and needs, and help us see deep and sometimes difficult truths about ourselves. This belief about Story informs my practice as both a ritual facilitator and a divinatory adviser.

I started leading/facilitating group rituals just over two years ago, and have continued to do so on an increasingly frequent basis. Ritual work is the heart and soul of what I feel I have to offer as clergy, and the kind of rituals I want to offer break down into a few basic types:
Transition Rituals - These mark a - you guessed it! - transition in one's life. Common examples of these are: infant namings, menarche/manhood/coming of age rituals, weddings/handfastings, croning/sagings...etc. However, things like coming into one's sexuality, entering the workforce/a new career and dealing with a divorce/separation are also times when a ritual of this type might be helpful.
Blessing Rituals - House/vehicle/pet blessings are common examples. Again, though, this can extend to gardens, tools, new kitchens...anything that needs blessing!
"Spell" Rituals - My spellwork is ritualwork. I don't use lots of props and ingredients, but I do create rituals for the things I need to bring into - or banish from! - my life. I will be delighted to work with you to create a ritual to bring about positive change in your world.

In addition to ritual services, I have over six years of experience reading Tarot for myself and others. For me, the Tarot is an accessible, intuitive way to tap into the Big Stories - the Stories that are present in all of our lives - and use them to explore and illuminate that which seems unclear. I read with both the Universal Waite and the Mythic Tarot, according to the client's preference, and usually use 3, 7, 9, or 13-card spreads, depending on the complexity of the question. Readings can be conducted in person or via email.

Rates: Ritual rates depend on the length and complexity of the ritual, and the amount of preparation, planning, and travel required: $50-120. Tarot readings are $10-30, based on the complexity of the reading., Barter or trade is possible! Please ask!
