Pagan Clergy

Clergy Profile: The three main areas of work I engage in as an Esoteric Priest are Ritual Work, Spiritual Guidance and Divination. But in addition to that, I consider myself to be a Teacher. And as I help people along the Esoteric Path, I myself am a student. We all learn - or should learn - from every encounter.
Ritual Work: For centuries people have performed Ritual Ceremonies to mark occasions such as marriage, baptism, confirmation, bar & bat mitzvahs, or to attain a specific goal, such as the blessing of the animals or dedicated masses. Learned scholars originally wrote all religious rituals. Those who devised such rituals were known as "Ritualists." So a ritualist is a person who creates rituals. Simple, yes? Not really. Years of study and learning are needed to properly compile traditional elements of holy religious rites. Only scholars who have done extensive research can devise rites that stand the test of time. Such people merit the proud appellation "Ritualist."
My personal specialty is creating Ritual Liturgies for every occasion. As a Practical Ritualist I have devised ceremonies for Charging Talismans and Amulets, For Banishing Negative Influences for Blessing and consecrating objects. I have had particular success working the famed 27 Rituals of Frater Malak. I can perform Rituals and I can provide a Ritual Kit with a handbook, parchment liturgy scroll and everything you need to perform the rite from oils, incense and candles right down to that most important book used in performing Magick Ritual... a book of matches ;)
Augury: Additionally, I have extensive experience in Tarot reading - as I bet most of the Brothers and Sisters listed here do; not as much experience in Crystal Gazing but I do it quite naturally. I use the Tarot and the Crystal Ball to help with Spiritual Guidance, which I offer as well.
Why I Don't Officiate At Weddings: As an Esoteric Priest, I always get one question first when I meet people. "You mean you can marry us?" The answer is "yes, I can, " but the complete answer is "No, I won't" When the puzzled look pops up, I immediately explain. In New York City, where I live and practice, the City government controls who may or may not officiate at a wedding. Like most every other jurisdiction, the government also decides who may or may not get married. To me, these decisions are arbitrary and furthermore a blatant violation of the Constitutional Establishment Clause from which we have evolved the sensible policy of separating Church and State. Marriage is a Holy, Sacred and Spiritual step in the life of two people who, theoretically, love each other. As such, I do not believe that any government has the rightful authority to say who may or may not officiate and who may or may not get married. Until the day arrives when I, or any other Person of the Cloth, can officiate at the marriage of any two people who wish to solemnize their relationship with a wedding - and I stress: any two people - I will not participate in a system that gives religious power to the State. This is not the place to expand upon this theme, so perhaps if folks are interested I will do so in the proper forum. I only bring it up because, invariably, marriage is the first thing people ask of me. The second? "If you can work Magick, " they say in a skeptical tone, "then how come you're not rich?" My answer? "What makes you think I'm not?"
Rates: With my rates, we may just gain insight into that second question I always get asked. No two people are alike, praise God, and each person has her or his own needs and desires and situation in life. As with all my Holy Work, I have a very wide sliding sca
