Clergy Profile: All Rites of Passage performed but the most requested is a Handfasting.
A Handfasting is the joining of two hands and hearts as one. Every bride dreams of the perfect wedding day - so let me help you plan just that.
Services are designed just for you. You can have a full-blown circle casting, with the traditional elements called to the quarters, or if you prefer, a simple blessing of the space. The choice is yours!
I try to involve members of the families to symbolize the joining of two families as one. If desired, the father of the bride, groom's mother, or children can help tie ribbons to the couples hands, as well as the officiant.
As an ordained minister (since 1999) , Arch Druid (for over 20 years) and Doctor of Philosophy since 1982, I will perform the handfasting making it as legal as any other religious nuptial ceremony. You are responsible for obtaining your own license if this is a legal union. I will assist you in making your own arrangements concerning time, decorations, invitations and the like, if you wish.
As clergy, I attend, as a legal and spiritual representative, to officiate and preside over your nuptial handfasting. I can, by law, legally sign your license, thereby completing the legalities concerning your marital state. I have several handfasting rites from which you may choose, or if you prefer, I will perform a handfasting created by working with you and your intended.
Donations made in exchange for services are not payment but rather they are donations made freely by those who wish to enjoy the benefits of having an experienced Pagan Clergy conduct their beautiful spiritual sacrament. These donations are used to keep and build the first public circle in Greenvile, The Circle in Widder’s Garden, and costs of ceremonies performed throughout the year for the public.
A license is necessary only if you want your handfasting to be legally a wedding. If you choose to only handfast, since it is a spiritual union, and not a legal one, a license is not required.
As an ordained minister and Arch Druid, I will offer you spiritual counseling concerning the upcoming rite and its implications, whether it is to be a legal ceremony, a spiritual ceremony, or both. This will help prepare both of you and enable me to get to know you both in order to customize your special day.
