 Website Profile: Abrahadabra Oasis is an official body of the Ordo Templi Orientis (O.T.O.) located in Portland, Maine. Its mission is to provide and support the growth of a Thelemic community in northern New England.
The core principles of Thelema are based on the writings of its principle exponent and prophet of the New Aeon, Aleister Crowley (1875-1947) . Its foundational document, Liber AL vel Legis, also known as "The Book of the Law", was received in trance over the course of three days - April 8, 9, and 10, 1904 - while Crowley was in Cairo, Egypt. The O.T.O. was the first of the Old Aeon magickal orders to accept and integrate the principles of the Book of the Law, a tradition that continues to this day through the work of the many O.T.O. bodies around the world.
