When: Sep. 28th. 2013 - Oct. 2nd. 2013
Where: near Healesville, Victoria

EarthSong WitchCamp

Event Details: The Australian Reclaiming Community is thrilled to announce anouther Reclaiming Tradition WitchCamps in Australia!
Spiritual Intensives with Teachers in the Reclaiming Tradition
Reclaiming WitchCamps are intensive retreats for the study of magic and ritual, usually held in a campground setting.
WitchCamps are offered to women and men at all levels of experience. Newcomers can learn the basic skills of magic and ritual, working with the elements, movement, sound and the mythological and historical framework of the Goddess Tradition. Advanced paths offer the chance to apply the tools of ritual to personal healing and empowerment, or a focus of taking the craft out into the world, creating public ritual, ongoing groups and healing issues surrounding leadership and power.
WitchCamps have run successfully by the International community for many years. It is our pleasure to be able to bring these annual spiritual and magical intensives to Australia for the second time. Campers will experience transformative ritual and workshops that are facilitated by experienced teachers in the Reclaiming Tradition of Witchcraft.
Each morning is devoted to a Path (a course of magical study) . Afternoons consist of Affinity Group meetings, optional offerings and a healing ritual. Each evening there is a whole-Camp ritual. Campers choose which Paths they wish to participate is dependant on personal preference and prior magical experience.
Our Sacred Intention for the 2012 camp is: Out of the darkness, upon the Earth, emerges a new interconnected tribe, which holds the energy of starfire and expresses itself in a myriad of lifeforms. Through voice, dance and sensuality, we dream our song into being and awaken to a new reality that lovingly shares our hearth with all beings who choose to join us.
Please browse the WitchCamp website for more information and details about how you can register to attend the Australian WitchCamp 2012 http://www.earthsong.australiareclaiming.org.au/index.php/theme-a-story
Teaching Team
We are very excited to announce that all of the seven teachers have now been confirmed for the 2012 Australian WitchCamp!
Ravyn Stanfield Ravyn Stanfield is a healer, writer and activist, practising acupuncture in Portland, Oregon. She is an aspiring alchemist dedicated to liberating the uniquely embodied magic, leadership and music within each of us to serve the communities of our Earth. She uses her work in the realms of sacred sexuality, theatre, Taoism, feminism, Jungian psychology and environmental activism to coax more of the extraordinary into the world through the ever-widening cracks in Western civilisation. She will never be a morning person so all of this erotic revolution must happen after 10am. She is an initiate in the Reclaiming and Feri traditions and teaches workshops internationally.

Dawn Isidora Dawn Isidora first became involved with the Reclaiming Tradition in her hometown of San Francisco, California back in the early '80s before moving to points North. She has taught Reclaiming classes and witchcamps, as well as other Earth-Centered-Spirituality classes locally, nationally and internationally since the early 90's. Besides the Reclaiming core classes, Dawn has created curricula in areas of leadership, sacred sexuality, trance leading and spiritual practice.
Rose May Dance More info coming soon.
Greenlilith (Vic) Priestess of the Reclaiming tradition. As an astrologer, counsellor and explorer of mythology, Greenlilith engages with both the personal and the transpersonal. As a teacher of permaculture and environmental studies Rhonda grounds her spiritual practice in the Earth. As a witch Greenlilith seeks the patterns that make us who we are and transform us to who we can be.
Greenlilith's eclectic spiritual path has guided her to explore many traditions and experience shamanic practices of various indigenous cultures, pagan rites and observances. Song, dance, drama, ecstatic ritual and relating with nature are tools she uses to strengthen her connection with the Divine.
A priestess of the Reclaiming tradition and an Earth activist for many years, Greenlilith believes that spirituality and ritual are deeply rooted within the place we practice and how we honour the Earth in our daily lives.
Theme
Reclaiming WitchCamps are developed around a central theme. The Australian WitchCamp theme for 2012 is currently being evolved from our Sacred Intention for the Camp, as stated above.
Once the theme has been confirmed it will be posted on the Australia Reclaiming website.
Paths Each Path will be co-taught by two teachers and will be announced soon. Check the website.
In the interests of making WitchCamp accessible to as many people as possible, we have decided to organise the cost of WitchCamp in timelines. We ask that those who can afford to pay the Full Fee please do so, as it will help cover our costs. The concession rate does not cover the full cost. We trust your judgment.
The specific camp theme will be available later in the year and will be posted here as soon as the details are finalised.
