Event TIME Details: 7PM to ?
Directions: Directions: Our Winter Location:Starting in September- October, exact date dependent on weather ...All classes & circles are held at: The Sky Dragon Center, two flights up, 24 King Street East .Centrally located in the downtown core at Gore Park, where "the city buses meet".The unobtrusive entrance is colourfully painted with the blues and whites of a skyscape, and is located just to the left of..... The Infusions Restaurant is at street level (across from the fountain) . (Here, the community often meets after class & circle ... a very informal social!) Parking ...The closest place to park is directly behind the building. Travel along Main Street, pass through the James Street intersection, and turn your first left into the lot.- (Of course, parking is usually free at the lot next door, if you don't mind walking an extra block. Travel along Main Street, turn right at the James Street intersection, and turn your first left into this lot instead!Intercity Buses ...Buses to & from Hamilton terminate at the Hamilton Go Bus Station, at 36 Hunter Street. On a grid, the station is literally right behind The Sky Dragon Center - two bocks north .Walk straight out the front door of the terminal, cross Hunter, cross Main, to King! Our SummerOur Summer Location: Our Summer Location:Starting the beginning of June....Most classes and circles are held at the "tip" of:Princess Point Park. This beautiful park is located on the bay front, part of "Coote's Paradise" green space, across the bay from the Royal Botanical Gardens, in the west end of the city.Directions:Two streets terminate at Princess Point Park - Macklin, which runs north & south, crossing both King & Main, and/orLongwood (two blocks west of Macklin) also running north & south. (Macklin and Longwood together create a great "V", almost as though they were the same street They both end in the parking lot of Princess Point Park!) Driving from downtown Hamilton ...Go along King Street, past the cathedral, & all Hwy 403 exits. Turn right onto Macklin. Proceed to the end of the road, into the parking lot. Drive to the end of the parking lot. (If you miss Macklin, turn right onto Longwood, and follow the same directions.) City Buses ...The Aberdeen #6 terminates at the parking lot in Princess Point Park. In Gore Park, downtown, where all the buses meet, the Aberdeen #6 bus stop is at James & King, at the large glass CIBC building. (Call 905-639-0550 for Hamilton bus schedules.) Intercity Buses ...Buses to & from Hamilton terminate at the Hamilton Go Bus Station, at 36 Hunter Street. There is an Aberdeen #6 bus stop directly across the street - at James & Hunter!Alternately ...Many intercity buses (like the one from Toronto) drive right past Longwood and Macklin on their way into the city! These buses go all the way downtown - and then the Longwood bus comes all the way back. To save up to an hour of driving/transfer time, as well as the price of a bus fare, simply ask the driver to stop at Macklin! Get off the bus at Main & Macklin, and turn left (south) . On a pleasant summer afternoon, its a 20 minute walk to the site.) From the Parking Lot ...The parking lot ends at the base of a small hill. Follow the path up the hill, and look left. The temple meets at the lone old oak tree. Things to Remember for outdoor events...Bring your own beverages, insect repellant, and don't forget sensible shoes! In case of inclement weather:If it is raining, the temple meets for classes and circles at an alternate indoor location, sometimes the Skydragon Center, or other places. Locations will be posted here when known. In the event that those taking public transit get caught in a sudden shower, we do try to have a "volunteer sentry" with a vehicle stationed at the park, to drive those caught in the rain to the indoor site.
