Members of the Hamilton Pagan Community presents...

Hammertown Pagan Pub Moot (Upcoming Nov 22 - Yule Marketplac

When: Monthly, 3rd Sunday evening (check websi
Where: Hamilton, Ontario

Our community is our future; let’s learn to nurture it together.

Event Details: The Hammertown Pagan Pub Moot has been running since October 2008 and has an average attendance of 80-100 people every month. All are welcome and many come from long distances to join us!

This moot came about through a joining of efforts between the Hamilton Pagan Harvest Festival and the Hamilton Pagan Pub moot to create a social environment that all Pagans in the Greater Hamilton Area can enjoy as well as many from afar.

It’s not important what path you practice, who your teacher is, where you got your training or what books you have read etc. We are a varied bunch of likeminded people from all walks of life, of different ages and backgrounds, all on different yet similar paths.

Come out and get to know who your community is, get to know your fellow pagan/magically inclined neighbour. Join us; Amanda Hyde, Amy Taylor, George Thomson and Frank Ryan, on the 3rd Sunday of every month, for an evening bound to be filled with much fun, laughter and some interesting conversation. And some entertainment & free pool too! Find out what will be happening in your area, advertise your business or group, share your thoughts and ideas in an open minded environment!

Every month, expect something different! From musical performances, to themed evenings, to open mic nights and drum jams!

UPCOMING MOOTS

NOVEMBER 22nd – ARTISANS FAIR (MOOT TO FOLLOW)

November Yuletide Artisans Fair
Sunday November 22nd
12:00 – 8:00 pm
Corktown Pub and Fare (Upstairs)
175 Young Street Hamilton, Ontario

Join us for a wonderful Yuletide Shopping Extravaganza!
Come to Hamilton to experience a wonderful marketplace for Artisans to showcase their fine arts, crafts and skills to our community. Join us on Sunday November 22nd as Southern Ontario Artisans will be selling their unique, handcrafted wares. You will find anything from custom one-of-a-kind jewellery, metal work, clothing, art, wood work, bath and beauty products, candles and delightful scents and so much more.

There will be lots to see and choose from, all available for your convenience in a one stop shopping experience.

And that’s not all; there will also be 4 Psychic Readers and an afternoon Matinee Concert at 2 and 4pm with the talented Heather Dale band!

Artisans include:
Avalon Alchemy, Belladonna's Cauldron, The Chainmail Guy, Darksome Moon, Eyes of a Crow, Helmuts Forge, Hyde and Cuff, JK Studios, Jeanie Schlegel Jewellery, Kelly's Candles, Linda Horn, Stone Carver, Storm Morgan, Sword In The Stone Crafts, The Art of Tea and Tasseomancy , White Flame Company.

Psychic Readers:
Sarah Helmer, Rain from Seekers Quest, Shaun Fryer of the Sourcery, Lady Mohasaba from Medieval Magic.

Heather Dale:
If the words 'Celtic music' make you think of wispy ballads or endless jigs & reels, then prepare for a Celtic concert like you've never heard before. Heather Dale defines herself as a "21st century Celt", fusing jazz, blues and world music influences with her own Celtic folk roots. With bold original songs and cheeky modern twists on old favourites, her concerts feature as many as a dozen folk instruments, from tin whistle to double bass, all played by Heather and fellow multi-instrumentalist Ben Deschamps.

The two musicians are also seasoned travellers, and chat about their often bizarre road stories between their songs: chasing bears into a Walmart, flying on a hot-pink airplane to a concert in Hungary, and dodging spray-painted sheep on a Welsh highway. Definitely a lively Celtic afternoon for the modern age.

"Although steeped in Celtic culture, Heather Dale's approach to the music is contemporary; there's nothing faint or wispy about this Celtic folk singer." (KW Record)

Visit www.HeatherDale.com for sound clips and further info about Heather's music.

NOVEMBER MOOT - Following the Marketplace (same location)

Come one, come all and join us we welcome to the Corktown stage Thoth Ganesh and his band Faded Jeans! Faded Jeans is a band that plays classic 70's rock, it should be a fun night and for some of us a blast back to the past!

Instead of having featured vendors this month we hope that everyone will be attending the Artisans Fair from 12 - 8pm upstairs at the Corktown. See above for more details.

As always, we will be holding our awesome raffle and 50/50 draws and some other fun surprises too!.

So, come out and get to know YOUR pagan and magically inclined community!

DECEMBER MOOT

Date: Sunday December 13/09
Time 7 pm

Join us as we celebrate the Upcoming Winter Solstice and Yule.

As the Sun prepares to return to it’s full glory on December 21st, we are celebrating it’s building strength with a special presentation.

The HammerTown Pagan Pub Moot is proud to present David Hickey and his Crystal Journey. Crystal Journey is a musical and vibrational journey through our solar system with 10 Paiste Planet Gongs, Quartz Crystal Bowls and Vibraphone. Trust us; you do not want to miss this show!

After the performance, we are once again delighted to have Konga and the Shanti Drumming Circle host an Open Drum Jam in honour of the Suns Return! It’s going to be an amazing night!

Hamilton Foodbanks are suffering this year. Just like last year there will be a Food and Toy Drive in effect; we ask that you please bring a food item, a new toy or if you are unable to do either of those a cash donation, every little bit helps. Last year we had a total of 112lbs donated to Hamilton Foodshare, lets see if we can top that number this year. Let's help to make this Yuletide Season a good one for everybody.

As always, we will be holding our awesome raffle and 50/50 draws and some other fun Yuletide surprises too! So, come out and get to know YOUR pagan and magically inclined community!

Don’t forget to bring your business cards, flyers, event listings etc for our Community Table.

Have a prize to donate? Want to volunteer? Have some questions? Email Amanda or Amy at info@hammertownppm.com
