WCC Saturday Circles
Saturday Crcles are free and open to anyone interested in Wicca and paganism. They are usually geared to beginners, so there is no requirement to have attained any particular level of nowledge or experience in Wicca before attending.
If you are new and have questions or simply wish to introduce yourself, speak to the Summoner, who will be easy to spot as he's usually carrying a large staff. Part of his job is to greet new people and either answer their questions or direct them to someone who can. Of course, it's always fine to just introduce yourself to whoever's standing around, too. People are usually pretty friendly.
The WCC is based in the Odyssean tradition of Wicca, but you will also occasionally see guest priesthood of other traditions leading ritual there. Rituals may centre around any of a variety of different cultures and pantheons, including (but not limited to) , Greek, Roman, Norse, Celtic, Egyptian and Sumerian. Or they may not be culture-specific at all. Different priesthood have very different rituals styles, so what you see one week may be completely different from the next.
People attending circle are encouraged to wear ritual robes if they have them, but if not, street clothes are fine. Please remove your shoes and socks before entering the circle (unless it's outdoors) , and please remove or turn off any cell phones, pagers, or other noisy beeping things that might disrupt the ritual. For legal and safety reasons, please do NOT wear an athame into ritual if you are not the presiding priesthood.
If a sabbat is being celebrated (usually on the nearest Saturday) , please bring some kind of food or drink to share, as there is usually a pot luck feast afterwards.

Event TIME Details: 7pm
Directions: We gather for class and rituals year round at Eco House - a historical home on 2 acres of land, converted into an eco-awareness center located at 22 Veevers Drive in East Hamilton. Enter from Ambrose Street, up the stone steps to the side door by the deck. Regrettably, all entrances to Eco House involve stairs of some kind. We're sorry if this prevents some from attending. Our selection of locations is limited by our budget.
