Ireland's Druidschool announces...

Study and Live at Ireland's Druidschool

When: Email us to book your week
Where: Roscommon, Ireland

Awaken to your Celtic Spirit

Event Details: Awaken to your Celtic Spirit
We are often asked about our lifestyle and our druidic path and as you can see from our website we share much about our school set-up, our magical practices and our public ceremonial activities as modern day Irish druids. However, no essay can adequately describe the actual experience so we are now offering you the opportunity to immerse your self in our way of life because you can now study and live at Ireland’s Druidschool as you awaken to your Celtic Spirit at our exclusive west of Ireland retreat.

We are offering a one-week opportunity to stay with us and gain basic experience as a Druí Dalta (student druid) . You can study and live with us as you begin to walk Slí an Druí, (the Path of the Celtic Lightworker) where you will take part in ceremony, learn basic Irish and participate in specialized classes. This is a new innovative approach to sharing the teachings of Ireland’s Druidschool at Castlerea, Co Roscommon in the west of Ireland. You will get to know the basis for sustainability and an ecological lifestyle with our Permaculture set up as you develop your spiritual awareness. You will be able to live, eat, speak, work and walk as a modern day Druid. Click here for info and photo’s of Ireland’s Druidschool

Studying at Ireland’s Druidschool
Each evening there is a specialized two-hour class on the skills and practices of the modern Druí.
* Sunday - the daily practice of The Celtic Druid’s Cross of Light and the Blessing to the Three Realms
* Monday - 3 Realms of Sky, Land and Sea and 3 Cauldrons of Warming, Vocation and Knowledge
* Tuesday - the Irish Pagan Calendar, Natural Time and the 4 main Celtic Gods of the Eightfold year
* Wednesday - the skill of divining subtle energy vortices (3D spirals) with a pendulum
* Thursday – advanced use of the Tarot Cards for your own Life Path guidance
* Friday – divining subtle energy currents with brass ‘L’ shaped divining rods (we provide the rods)
On the Saturday you will be taken out on a full day for a sacred site tour in the locality where you will practice your subtle energy divining skills with ‘L’ rods and with your Pendulum – you will learn the secrets of the design and layout of the ancient temples of Ireland. The above list is subject to change without notice. During your stay - all greetings, phrases and words used ceremony will be given to you as Gaeilge (in Irish) and their meaning explained in English. You will begin to practice speaking ‘as Gaeilge’ in our native Celtic language – learning some Irish words is part of connecting to the Celtic way.

Living at Ireland’s Druidschool
A typical day with us starts with a nourishing healthy breakfast at 9am followed by a walk in Nature. On returning we energize our Lightbodies in our Ceremonial Enclosure (Torc) with the Celtic Druid’s Cross of Light and the Blessing to the Three Realms. Next, your tasks for the day are allotted to you; this may be a series of small jobs or outdoor work such as tidying / fencing / dog walking / tree planting / turf and wood / painting and cleaning and whatever other ‘jobs’ need to be done and this may include refurbishing the 200 year old cow shed in to a new Pagan Temple. We stop in the middle of the day for a full and hearty lunch, and then we go back to work. You are required to be physically able for such work and you must bring suitable sturdy footwear, gloves and light outdoor rainproof clothing. While working in the school and or other buildings / farm you are asked to leave all your usual worldly concerns to one side and to listen to your intuition. We live a simple rustic lifestyle and attune our selves to the rhythms of the weather and nature. At 5:30 the working day ends and we have dinner around 6pm. After ‘wash-up’ you have some personal time before evening classes begin at 7:30. Classes end at 9:30ish and you then have time to contemplate your day and write in your journal.

Detailed participation requirements
Tarot Card Deck - you must bring your own deck of Tarot cards. These may be new and unopened or old and well used and you may be a beginner or an experienced practitioner. The focus will be your Life Path. Mobile phones and Internet - you will transfer all IT equipment to us for safekeeping until you leave, there is no TV here, this is to assist you to make full contact with your intuition and ultimately with your higher self. Food, drink and drugs - there will be no chocolate or sugar / substitutes, no alcoholic drink and no mind altering drugs. This is a week of detox and rehydration; so if you are chronically dehydrated do not apply to join us. You are required to notify us of any special diet needs. If you take prescription medication – you must tell us. Arrival and departure - you will arrive at Lidl car park in Castlerea, Co Roscommon before 2pm on Sunday. You will leave Druidschool before 2 pm on the following Sunday. Accommodation is in the two bunks (i.e. 4 bed) dormitory sharing washroom facilities. Daily Routine - we begin at 9 o’clock with breakfast, then washing up and tidying of dormitory. Morning Slí an Drui practice as taught on Sunday eve. Morning activities are from 10:30 to 12:30. Midday meal will be around 1pm, then washing up. Afternoon activities are from 2:30 to 5:30. Evening meal will be around 6pm, then washing up. Rest period. Classes start at 7:30pm ending approx 9:30pm. Journal - you are required to bring and keep a paper journal. In this written work you are to list your hopes and wishes for your stay. Each evening before bed you will write up a report of your experiences and their value to you. If the sky is clear we may gather outside and practice as An Nealadoir (Skywatcher) this is part of connecting to Natural Time. Full Moon, Dark Moon and Solar Ceremony – on these days / evenings we may be joined by other Druí as we celebrate the cycles of Natural Time.

Reality check - Warning
If you are not in good health and fit for outdoor work do not apply to join us on this programme. Any participants who are unable for whatever reasons to perform / assist in various activities or outdoor work will be sent away – there can be no refund. This Study and Live at Ireland’s Druidschool programme is not a rest holiday – it is active participation in the running and maintenance of a teaching facility with its outbuildings and farmland. There may be more than one student staying with us at any time, men and women share the same dormitory and all students must be over 18 years of age. You are required to enroll and sign a membership declaration form here on arrival.

Donation to Project Development Fund
Your 7 night stay including all classes, food, divining rods, use of washing facilities and a one day field trip to local sacred sites requires a donation of E235 payable in total in advance. This set figure reflects your labour contribution. You must make a formal request stating your preferred week to study and live with us.
