Event Details: Some Secret Place is a monthly* ritual evening focused on deepening one’s personal relationship with the pagan gods. The focus is experiential -- concentrating on spiritual devotion and development, with activities including discussion, meditation, and participation in ceremony.
It is aimed at people seeking an introspective and self-reflexive environment, who have done some reading on witchcraft, Wicca and/or paganism, and are familiar with its general theological tenets.
Group size is kept deliberately limited to enhance the personal experience -- maximum 17 places per session. Booking in advance is required. The event is held in Treadwell's Bookshop in Covent Garden, they also take the bookings for the circle (their phone number and website are listed below.)
*Owing to popularity this event is usually run a second time during the month as well, call/email for more information.
Event Location: 34 Tavistock St., Covent Garden in London
Event TIME Details: 7.15 for 7.30pm start
Directions: Tubes: Charing Cross, Covent Garden, Temple, Waterloo.
From Waterloo: leave terminal's Exit 5 and follow signs for Waterloo Bridge via tunnel. Cross Waterloo bridge on foot, or catch any Northbound bus that goes over Waterloo Bridge. Having arrived on the North side of the bridge you are at the Strand; cross the Strand and continue North into Wellington Street. Turn right into Tavistock Street. We are on your right.
From Paddington: take the Bakerloo line to Charing Cross. Walk East along the Strand (or take any eastbound bus) . At the junction with Waterloo Bridge, turn left off the Strand into Wellington Street; then right into Tavistock St. We are on your right.
From Euston: take Northern line to Charing X. Walk (or take any bus) East along the Strand. Turn left into Wellington Street (Waterloo Bridge will be on your right) ; go one block north on Wellington Street, then turn right into Tavistock St. We are on your right.
From Kings Cross: take the Piccadilly line to Covent Garden. Walk South through Covent Garden to Tavistock Street and turn left into the street, following it until after crossing Wellington Street. We are on your right.
From City Thameslink: walk East along Fleet Street, then along the Aldwych. Turn right into Catherine Street, then left into Tavistock Street. We are on your left.
From Victoria: take the District or Circle Line eastbound to Temple, then walk North to the Strand, and on to Wellington Street. Turn right into Tavistock Street. We are on your right.
