Yule Open Ritual
Event Details: All of the following Open Rituals will be held within the Durant Hall complex, Ellison Place Newcastle, situated just behind Northumbria University. It is easily accessible by Metro (Haymarket) or bus, and there is a car park (ticketed) just behind the building. There is s small amount of spaces at the front for Blue Badge holders to be able to park their cars.
Durant Hall has been chosen as it is disabled friendly, Pagan friendly (The Manager, Ian, is Pagan himself) and is affordable. The dates have been chosen to be the nearest Friday to the festivals, to allow those who also celebrate with their own groups or Covens to be able to attend and also to avoid clashes with other events people may want to go to, such as Beltane at Thornborough, Pendle Witchcamp, Oakleaf Camp and Sentry Circle.
There will be a small charge to attending of £3.50, this is to cover the hall hire, ritual essentials such as wine, cakes, any decorations used, candles and incense, and also refreshments such as tea, coffee and biscuits. Upfront funding of these events is from the North East Pagan Fellowship. No profit is made from these events.
Now these are your Open Rituals, a celebration of the Festivals for all of us to get together in comfort and privacy. Whether you wish to be a participant or an active member. What I am hoping for is that those of you who would like to lead a ritual for a Festival to please step forward! It would be great if we could have offers from a diversity of paths, Northern Tradition, Druid, Khemetic, Wiccan or whatever path you follow, so there is something for everybody, and gives an opportunity for those who follow another path or indeed no specific path or tradition, to experience something different.
