Exploring the Spirit of Paganism

A six week exploration of Pagan practice and ritual
Event Details: As the shadows around us deepen, we invite you to join us on a journey of exploration into Pagan thought, practice and ritual. Beginning just after the Autumn Equinox, this six week journey of discovery will culminate in a Samhain celebration on the evening of Saturday, 3rd November.
Led by local Witch Em, we will be delving into delightfully dark and diverse themes in preparation for the ritual itself. Namely:
(1) Circles, Cycles and Seasons
(2) Auras, Bodies and “Chakras”
(3) Dowsing and Divination
(4) Magic and the Mind
(5) Witchcraft vs Wicca
(6) Aspects of Ritual
Sessions will take place on a Thursday evening in the South Lincolnshire village of Swineshead, from 7.30pm and each week will include practical work, meditation and discussion. There will be no monetary charge, but a charitable collection will be made each week, and if folk could bring tea and biccies to share that would be great. Commitment to a Monday evening (private) meditation will also be required – the results of these will be shared on the Thursday.
The sessions are not about being taught, but about sharing and exploring as a group. Although aimed at those who have little practical experience and who want to learn more about ritual, all are welcome, including those who have attended previous incarnations of the series.
As far as the Samhain Celebration goes, plans are afoot for a lantern-lit masked procession into the Autumnal landscape, followed by a Samhain supper, and ritual. Participation in the Samhain celebration is not restricted to those attending the exploratory sessions, although precedence will be given to those who have. Numbers are restricted, so please let us know ASAP if you are interested.
