Hearth and Home: The Newark Pagan Community announces...

The Newark Pagan Study Group

When: Third Sunday of the Month
Where: Newark on Trent, England

Study Group for Pagans of various paths

Event Details: The Newark Pagan Study Group is for Pagans in and around the Newark and Sherwood area who want to get together with people of a like mind and explore different areas of their spirituality. The Study Group was the idea of one Hearth and Home: The Newark Pagan Communities members who felt that as a practicing pagan, sometimes life could get in the way to much... sound familiar?

The original idea was for the group to get together, concentrate on a specific topic/area and motivate each other month to month, supporting each other and listening to each others ideas and views, sharing experiences and generally being there for each other. The idea was a big hit!

Since the formation of the group study topics have been selected which have tried to remain a neutral mix of both philosophy, theology and practical exercises. Currently the group is working through a range of topics that change on a month by month basis. For example one month the group might look at "psychic phenomena" which group members can approach from any direction they wish. You can turn up with a book on the subject, your own experiences, you can look at the idea from the supernatural view, or approach from a more scientific view. Then the next month the group might look at "Greek Pantheons" and all the myths/legends surrounding such a topic. The idea is for the group to be a free for all exchange of knowledge and experience between members to help us look at things from perspectives we'd never considered before.

If you're interested in attending the Study Group, or perhaps you just want to learn a little more about it then please don't hesitate to contact us. Nathan is our witchvox go to and is available via the "To send a private email message to The Newark Pagan Study Group click here" button below. He can also put you in contact with our Hearth and Home member who is charge of the Study Groups organisation, or you might be able to find more information via our Facebook group:
