Event Details: Sound Study Group,
Exploration of Sound. You are cordially invited to an open structured discussion group on sound, these are not lectures, you will have a chance to participate and share your favourite pieces and your knowledge or experience in an informal relaxed atmosphere.
Week 1- Vibration, psychology of sound, energy, voice.Taking a look at our environment, how we hear, energy of sound, use of sound
Week 2 - Ritual use of sound, Magick, Chakras, Breathing.
How we use sound within ritual, ie Pentagram rituals, Balancing the Chakras using sound, breathing exercises and God names.
Week 3 - World of Sound, Chants,
Sacred sounds from around the world, including Tibetan throat singing, gregorian chants, native chants etc.
Week 4 - Noise, Stockhausen, Truax, Environmental, Dead Sound. Intro into the amazing world of the Stockhausen, Truax and a few others.
Week 5 - Drum Beats, chance to participate in a drum circle, Jambies and Bhorans, relaxation night, sacred dance,
Week 6 - Concert - Sound & Light
Inanda will present a concert of Sounds and Laser Lights, open to course attendees, friends, families. Numbers will be limited so booking is required and all proceeds will go towards Inanda Library Fund.
