A Witch’s Craft: Practice and Philosophy

A comprehensive weekend of Witchcraft basics, discussion, and ritual

Event Details: The path of the Witch is one of harmonizing one’s Spirit with the rhythms of nature and seeing the Divine reflection in it. The Witch’s Craft requires both faith as well as skill. If you are new to Witchcraft, a practitioner looking to hone their work, or simply wanting to meet like-minded people, this two day intensive will provide the new with groundwork and the seasoned with sharpened tools—all in the Spirit of Love, Trust, and Fellowship.

Workshop will explore:

~ The Wheel of the Year: The Holidays of the Witches~
~A Witch’s Tools and their Use~
~Who are the Lord and the Lady? The Mysteries of Divine Identities~
~An Introduction to the Practices of Progressive Witchcraft~
~Casting the Circle: Basic Elements of Witchcraft Ritual~

Class will conclude with an empowering ritual utilizing skills developed over the weekend.

Instructor Courtney Weber is a Priestess, writer, and Tarot adviser who has been an openly practicing Witch since 2001 and a Priestess since 2003. She was trained by Janet Farrar and Gavin Bone and serves as the High Priestess of Novices of the Old Ways, a Progressive Witchcraft community in based in New York City. Courtney has been published in numerous Witchcraft publications including Circle Times Magazine and the Llewellyn’s 2013 A Witches’ Companion. This will be her first trip to Alabama!

Weekend fee is $65 ($55 if paid by March 21) . Workshop will be held at peaceful, rural residence in Phenix City (directions emailed to participants upon registration) . Bring a sack lunch and/or dinner for both days, an open mind, and a joyous heart. Camping available.
