Parting the Veil

Pre-planning and Burial Options for Pagans
Event Details: Parting the Veil is a free, informational presentation by Valley Pagan Disaster Fund, which seeks to lend aid in crisis situations involving house fire, medically related expense and bereavements.
Parting the Veil presentation will include:
What you should do when a loved one passes away at home;
What you must legally do, as well as your own personal options;
Financial resources in Maricopa County; Green Burial options in Arizona.
Also covered will be a discussion and examples of simple Wills you can prepare yourself, which are legal and binding in the state of Arizona; making your own future wishes known to your family, friends and spiritual community and easing transition for your loved ones through the use of Beneficiaries and Bequests.
Resources such as local pagan clergy contacts to assist with memorials and book suggestions containing suggestions for memorials and liturgy will be provided.
All attendees will be given an informational packet containing the topics and resources discussed.
This free workshop is open to all pagan adults. Registration is required, to ensure that a sufficient number of resource materials can be provided.
Light refreshments will be served during break. Attendees are also welcome to bring a sack lunch if desired.
