Ritual Magic One: First Steps in Ritual

Servants of the Light (SOL) Ritual Training
Event Details: What is ritual magic? Ritual marks a time set apart from ordinary time. Likewise ritual also marks a dedicated space, where actions and consciousness differ from our mundane activities and awareness. Ritual magic allows us to focus mind, imagination and desire towards experiencing the numinous and the divine, and participate in acts of creation, healing, communication, adoration and celebration.
First Steps in Ritual is open to anyone with an interest in the Western Mysteries, ritual or magic. This is a hands-on class where we will be working and learning in an active temple space. Exercises and pathworkings will be a part of each teaching session. Saturday evening will include a formal ritual.
Ritual Magic I, II and III are held six months apart. Ideally the same group of participants moves through the series together. The workshops may not be taken out of sequence.
Although this workshop is required for SOL students who wish to move to the higher degrees or join a Lodge, it is open to the public. Non-SOL students are most welcome, and generally one half of the participants are unrelated to the Servants of the Light.
This class is taught by Chris Corey and Kate Warwick-Smith, co-Magi of Lodge Magdala within the Servants of the Light School of Occult Studies.
