Honoring Our Ancestors

Event Details: Throughout every month, the moon goes through many changes. These lunar cycles have a great effect on all beings, at all levels; mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually.
At the end of every month, the moon moves out of alignment, losing light from the right side. This phase of the moon is a time for finishing and releasing; a good time for clearing the mind, body and experiences. Being in the presence of the moon encourages us to turn our attention within and focus on deep inner- working, healing, and protection. It’s about going within and embracing the Shadow. This is also a perfect time for detoxification, internal cleansing, and we may feel drawn to introspection.
Beside facing our past fears and purging ourselves from the harmful effects of suppressing the feelings associated with those experiences, we also come together on these contemplative nights to honor our ancestors; the wise men and women in our lives.
We can all recall elder familial members, friends, and spiritual teachers who have inspired us at one time or another. To honor these wise women and wise men is to publicly celebrate their uplifting contribution to the positive vibration of Humanity. This is an opportunity to commune with them and honor them for the richness they have awakened in our lives, and the guidance they bring when our life’s path appears challenging.
Join us for these gatherings as we commune with our ancestors, release physical, mental, and emotional imbalances through dance, movement, various healing modalities, artistic expression and chant.
May we continue to remember we are Spirit and know that the Shadow self can teach us to live in the world with Wisdom, Power and Balance.
