Public Samhain Ritual
When: Nov. 8th. 2009
Where: Calabasas, California
We invite you to join us at Samhain
Event Details: We invite you to join us as we honor our ancestors, welcome the turning of the year, and explore the mysteries of the veils of the in-between.
DATE: Sunday, November 8, 2009
LOCATION: Malibu Creek State Park, Calabasas. Use the "MAP" link at http://ravensacrygrove.org for driving directions from Google. Using the "Satellite View" will help understand the roads within the park.
TIME: 7pm. Please feel free to arrive as early as 6:30.
-A suggested donation of $7-10 is requested in order to help defray the cost of the site. No one will be turned away from the ritual for lack of funds.
-A Pagan Potluck will be part of the event, please bring a dish to share.
-Clothing should be comfortable, layered, and warm.
-Parking costs 12 dollars. Tell the Ranger you are headed to an event at the Group Campground.
Raven's Cry Grove will be collecting food at our Samhain Public Ritual to help the Los Angeles Regional Foodbank. Show L.A. that we care! Raven's Cry Grove wishes to stand with you to serve our community by sharing the blessings of the Kindred in our lives. We ask that you join us in our efforts to feed those in need all around us. Donations of non-perishable food items are most welcome, especially as our regional foodbank supplies dwindle in these economic times. Through our efforts, let us share the blessings of our harvest with others.
Event Location: 1925 Las Virgenes Rd in Calabasas
Event TIME Details: 7pm - arrive as early as 6:30
Directions: From the 101: Take the 101 FWY and get off at Las Virgenes Rd. exit. Turn south onto Las Virgenes Rd. and head toward Malibu. The entrance to the parking lot is off Las Virgenes Rd. just south of Mulholland Hwy on the west (right) side of the road. From PCH: take Malibu Canyon Rd. and turn into the park entrance on the left before Mulholland Hwy.
Follow the road around the corner until you see a long dirt road on your right, leading into a valley. (If you reach the individual campsites you have gone too far.) Park in the lot at the end of the dirt road and walk down the trail about 500 ft to the Campsite.
