Event Details: Winter Solstice (Yule) Ritual and Potluck for Women
September 28th, 2009
The Goddess Lucina returns, birthing light from the dark and reminding us of the holy the spark of creativity within each of us. We dive deeply into the gifts of the Sacred Dark–rest, stillness, contemplation, germination–while celebrating the return of the sun! Sing and dance in safe space as we joyously welcome the return of the sun and bask in the warmth of each other’s offerings. You are invited to contribute a song, poem, invocation or other offering that relates to the themes of the season. Newcomers welcome.
Our goal is to provide affordable, accessible, ecstatic, and participatory celebrations of the incoming seasons for women and children. These are ideal events for women who are new to Earth-based and women-centered religion and for women yearning to contribute wisdom and creativity in ritual space.
