19th to 23rd of March- Spring Equinox, when the Sun enters Aries.
Also known as the Vernal Equinox, Lady Day, Alban Eilir, Festival of Trees, and Gŵyl Ganol y Gwanwyn.
The vernal equinox, often called Ostara, is celebrated in the Northern hemisphere around March 21 and in the Southern hemisphere around September 23, depending upon the specific timing of the equinox. Among the Wiccan sabbats, it is preceded by Imbolq and followed by Beltene.
The name Ostara may be related to the word for "east". It has been connected to the Anglo-Saxon goddess Eostre by Jacob Grimm in his Deutsche Mythologie.
In terms of Wiccan ditheism, this festival is characterized by the rejoining of the Goddess and the God, both regaining strength after spending the winter months in sleep, death and old age, the God being born-again at Yule (return of the Sun in the North) , and the Goddess returning to her Maiden aspect (Trees and Plants Flowering, and Animals giving Birth)
